theyre doing stuff like this whats to stop them from bringing back MOP CM gear. I just don’t understand peoples arguments against it other than they’re bringing up a random Ion quote from a decade ago.
I wouldn’t count on it. Sooner or later everything will be back. I’m looking forward to the broken egos, when the signs of time were on the wall and the little girl was actually right from the start.
Or you can tell us the truth… that the reason you didn’t run mop challenge modes is because you were scared of joining a group and having to be social to get them finished.
Now people just want a way to buy them or something without talking to anyone. Hope they never become available unless you ran them back in the day.

I ran the CMs I have the hunter set. I want them available for all classes regardless of whether or not I did 11 runs of CMs or one run of CMs
the sets should be available to anyone if they did the challenge modes. they rectified this in WOD with weapons.
I wish this was the case but nothing has been said

I think I’d rather have something those challenge modes come back, and add xmogs for DH and Evoker. Release it during a patch lull (even if it’s part of the final patch to spice things up like season 4 tried). Then once you unlock one, you are eligible to buy the others.

This idea is terrible. If wow keeps bringing back limited time super rare cosmetics or mounts then it just makes those things less special for the people who actually took the time to do them.
If the brontosaurus was still in the game then it would have less value because everyone would eventually have it.
what? you clearly didn’t read the OP. this brings it back for people who earned atleast one set and lets them buy the rest
and theres already stuff brought back on the BMAH that was super rare, and exclusive it doesn’t impact anything

No I understand what op is saying if you see my character portrait you’d see in wearing the hunter cm set. I don’t deserve the other classes sets because I didn’t do it on those characters.
That’s just how I feel about it though.

Most of the mounts aren’t special because it’s just a biased view on things. You can ride Arthas’ undead horse and look like a clown if you don’t have an outfit for it. You can have the Spectral Tiger mount and people will laugh about you, because it’s a 2004-polygon design mount in a 2022-game.
Nostalgia is a dangerous game.
If that was the case though people wouldn’t be selling them for millions of gold and people wouldn’t be riding them and feeling proud to have them. Op wants to be able to buy the other cm sets if he already has one unlocked and I feel like that isn’t the way the game should be run. While the cm set for hunters isn’t crazy, it’s cool and I have a sense of pride in doing that back in the day before it was figured out and easy.

Because of nostalgia. The mount isn’t anything special at all. I would even say that the Brutosaur mount is the most important one in recent years.
I get it but such sets shouldn’t be locked away for the new players. It leaves a very bad impression on the overall situation in the game and I rather see everything opened for the sake of player happiness rather gatekeeping stuff, which only serve one’s ego.
I only got the Druid and Priest sets during MoP. Which is dumb, because I had a level 90 Shaman and was selling CM runs and didn’t bother to get the set at the time because I was lazy and didn’t want to make a CM gear-set for my Shaman!
The other classes I didn’t have at max level though, so that’s why I didn’t have those.
It’s not gate keeping to say hey this was a timed event (a whole expansion) and is no longer obtainable. it’s understandable to feel like mounts arnt special or important. However to others they are. I know if I had a bunch of tcg mounts I’d be using them because there’s nothing wrong with a older classic look of something.
Just because you are new does not mean you or anyone else who didn’t play in that time period has any entitlement to any of those sets. Participation trophies don’t help things they just make matters worse.

You do realize the ask isnt to open the sets to everybody?
And for crying out loud you have plagued proto drakes being sold on the BMAH, nax t3, the exclusiveness argument does not matter when other removed items are available
I’ve already answered this yes, However again i say it. if you didn’t do CMs on the classes at the time, you still don’t deserve those sets. Same things go for myself. Ill die on that hill.
