no - no reason
I know but this isnât something you have power over. The majority of players want the old items to be back and they will very likely come back. If anything the past four years have shown, than that recolors are not liked and the Mage Tower was too hard compared to the Legion-version, which ultimately begs the question if the whole concept is just not justified.
The community managers are very aware of the situation, otherwise we wouldnât see the return of the older items. And this will also include the MoP-CM designs, because youâre not entitled to have them alone, especially when the developers have not delivered similar colors or class fantasy designs.
Times are changing. Pathfinder gone. High Elves available to the Alliance. Burdening gameplay gone with DF so far. Expect the return of FOMO-items. The community is very clear and loud about this and I fully support them getting everything. You can have your recolors after the majority got the CM-sets for themselves.
The people who do said âNoâ.
Itâs âNoâ.
Times have changed
This game has changed
When they came up with a half baked justification for the WOD token. Sorry it doesnt matter stop being a stick in the mud mop sets need to come back
Means nothing to the players and the developers. Ion Hazzikostas also said that Pathfinder is to stay and yet it has been removed. The community knows whatâs best for them, especially when new players come and people, like you, want to be remembered as gods, which you are not.
Iâll gladly offer my FOMO stuff to players who want to have it. Itâs digital goods, itâs just a switch.
No.
Earn it when it was available and stop being so entitled.
Entitlement has no value in a game, where you can simply turn a switch and have +1 in your inventory. Youâre not speaking for the majority anymore, we have seen how the recent outcry was over within two days. Youâre entitled to fight on a lost outpost, but if you think Iâm going to sit by and see new players upset and disappointed that the good stuff is locked away, then youâre wrong.
We will not punish young blood who wants to stay by telling them that they donât get stuff they want to work for. This is not how you sustain a MMO.
Nope, not around this they havenât.
âOh, so youâll do it on Warriors and get all weapons, yeah thatâs dumb, letâs just give every class the same abilityâ is pretty good justification.
I canât seem to fly on the Dragon Isles.
Entitlement has no place in this game?
Yet here you are dying on a hill of cosmetic transmog. Saying itâs âpunishmentâ is one of the funniest things Iâve ever heard. Lack of access to something that has zero impact on game performance isnât punishment and youâre delusional to think so.
Illidan is a regular server, isnât it? AD-EU has always new people coming on both sides. It is never great to tell anyone that youâre not going to get something in the game because it has been removed. Especially when they are new, try a RP-server out and want to work on a set. You have no idea how it feels when someone comes to me, irregularly, and ask me where I got this cool staff and I need to tell them that they canât have it because it was a movie promo.
Sooner or later people are satisfied with gameplay loop and adventure out to the old content. And thatâs where the anger comes for most of them. Either too hard to get or even not possible to farm or work for. Iâm glad times are changing, Iâm personally tired of disappointing people over and over again. If you havenât done this before, be glad. Itâs never fun.
Ah yes, your experiencing is super unique and I couldnât possibly understand the plight.
Sanctimonious BS.
/ignore
Youâre kidding right, genuinely? âYou have no idea how it feelsâ What a horrible experience for you. The trauma of telling someone in the virtual world, they canât have what you have. Woe is me. Iâd hate to see you travel around a developing country with your phone in hand. You couldnât possibly handle that guilt. When I see someone with something ultra rare, say âDeaths Demiseâ title I am so happy to see it. Or an unobtainable armor set, Iâm not angry/depressed/traumatised⌠Iâm stoked⌠with a touch of envy haha.
I ask about the title/mount/gear, tell them itâs great and move on. If you get upset thatâs on you, no one should feel guilty for playing a game during a certain expansion, obtaining something really cool, and showing it off. Time sensitive/unobtainable stuff has been around since wow started⌠thatâs nearly 20 years.
Itâs a way for the old timers to say âIâve been here since âXâ expansionâ. When I see âHand of Aâdalâ I think of all the change that person has seen in wow, and I usually ask them a few questions. Most are very accommodating! Itâs your perception that needs adjustment, not the game
Well I never said it was. Like I said:
That said, the context of the conversation is that Blizzard has said no to bringing back to the OG challenge mode sets and OP asked if theyâd at least let those who earned a CM Set get the others. If they do? Cool. I can buy the mage set.
But if it was between just unlocking it for 9/9 Gold Cm Completers (which is what the topic is about thatâs the important thing here) or giving a new recolor set for everyone to earn, Iâd rather have the recolor because at least more people get it.
Iâm not kidding. Youâre not a RPer, you have no idea about things work on such servers. In the end, people get pissed and there is nothing you can do about it. And you brought a great point up: Itâs a game, therefore it should be available, because itâs not RL. And thatâs what I have been saying all the time.
People die around in the 3rd world, as you alluded it, and we have more important issues at hand. But when we need some downtime, then we shouldnât be limited by a system which fosters toxicity on both sides.
I donât think so. I was always on point when it comes to requested changes and Iâm very confident to say that this will end up reverted because of the feedback.
people did earn it, people also bought it. guess what there is also a demand to let them be available to everyone regardless of whether or not they played every class at the max as long as they did the challenge modes atleast once.
They fixed this issue in Warlords with the weapons.
this has nothing to do with entitlement. this is wanting fix made to a bad decision. people who did challenge modes through what ever means should be able to have access to all of the sets.
Did you even read the OP?
its literally asking to make sets available for people who did challenge modes once. just like they did for weapons.
I did not earn access to mace mogs from warlords but yet I have them unlocked? why because of the token that lets me do that. so should I lose access to the mogs from Warlords I cannot use? stop and think before you speak
Not every body had the time nor had the alts geared properly for Mists challenge modes. most people did them once or up to four times for the mount.
Weapons are different, though, which is why they didnât and shouldnât make the sets available. A warrior doing wod cms wouldâve had access to all weapons whereas something like mage wouldâve only had access to a few.
In the case of mop cms the rewards were already equal, so no need for a âfixâ.
this is an absolute stretch of a reason and you, and every one else knows it is.
Well, thatâs probably why they didnât do it.
(and hopefully donât)
I completed CM on my hunter, but due to life, this was the only class I was able to complete it on. I would love to be able to buy the other sets since I completed it back then at least, but I also donât mind if they never come back either. I donât care!
