Token came I believe in pre patch or near it? point still remains it was a really poorly strong together thought process for weapon procument but they never did anything for the armor sets.
People openly argue you shouldn’t be able to rock a mage set from MoP if you did it as a warrior because you needed to learn to play a mage to show off that set yet they still think it’s a completely different situation to be able to do WoD CMs as a warrior so you can throw in the staff on your mage who you never touched after dinging max level.
Like I get that MoP rewards were VERY compartmentalized given that they were sets. If Blizzard had made WoD weapons class centric where doing them as a warrior rewarded you with a specific set of weapons only warriors could mog then that’s all fine and dandy, but they didn’t.
They just realized that some classes were more favorable at unlocking weapon options over others so they corrected that issue. Which I get to that extent, but the argument that your alt mage that you never play deserves to be able to use the staff, but not the class set because your warrior is the only one who did the content is objectively ridiculous.
Hmmm I’m okay with this. I have the druid set and I did earn it on one class. I’d also be okay with this existing for weapons, and for the Artifact appearances locked with the mage tower. I know it’s not a popular thing- but it wouldn’t bother me.
I am also just fine with them never being earnable, but another recolor or similar thing coming out based on MoP challenge modes.
To be fair, what the OP is asking for doesn’t make much sense. I did CM’s on multiple characters. I did it on priest and death knight. I tanked a set, and I healed a set. Just because I did that though doesn’t mean I deserve it on something like a shaman or whatever. I did not earn, nor perform as necessary on that specific class.
You unlocked it on your class, some classes back then were far easier to unlock them than others. It should stay locked forever and never be available.
Sure, some classes were easier, and some werent. Doesnt change fact that they changed the design philosophy in WoD. And things continue to become account wide. And this offers a great gold sink potential
Just because I did warlords challenge modes doesnt mean I deserve weapon transmogs flr weapons I cant use, if i didnt play and perform with that class. (See the logic?) Its half baked at best
The foundation of the argument to not open up class sets when they literally fix the design issue because forcing alt game play to achieve something ridiculous. A large swathe of peoe did not have all 11 classes geared and max level. And even if people had 11 alts, they werent all necessarily geared which lead to the boosting problem.
I have the druid set and wouldn’t be mad if say someone who earned he paladin set was able to buy it. I’d buy the mage set myself.
However I’d be a bit happier with recolors of the set given with a new challenge. I loved the class hall recolors for instance and would love a twilight colored druid set to match the glyph of twilight bloom. Or a white or green recolor of the mage set. I don’t think the request is unfair but I understand why they wouldn’t want to do it. Still those are some of the best sets in game (minus the super ugly priest one) so I think it would be a waste of they didn’t offer at least one more color version.
I don’t agree. It’s like saying I did one mage tower spec challenge on one class. I completed it? I showed proficiency right? Now give me ALL 36 challenge appearance weapon skins! Blizzard explicitly said how long we had, and how it worked.
Great for those that liked the change in WoD. But you got your recolours with Legion. There is plenty of stuff I missed out on, whether through being bad, not playing at the time, or otherwise. But they have added previously unobtainables back… maybe the BMAH
No. We don’t need a pink sword when everyone needs the black one for their black armor.
Bring the original armors back, with or without an evergreen challenge. It’s time. FOMO-gatekeepers are a miniority, we have seen this with the Feldrake discussion. Most of those players don’t play WoW anymore.
