You literally broke the rules, people get banned for that type of thing in PvP.
Gaming the system to get a reward just proves how broken it was.

It maybe Yipper but back then both sides understood what was going on …I got killed that day when I first went into WSG horde hold then I noticed the belf that killed me was backed into the corner and not moving when I got back to pick up the flag again…it worked…

Yeah, I got my drake in 2009, the first year it was available. Havent really had any reason to do holiday stuff since then. Would be nice to have a reason to do them again.

People really did “work together” just for the achieve, and that was completely unfair to those who joined to BG just to do the BG. There are a lot of BG specific PvP achieves that people can’t do when others are trying to “cooperate” for a holiday achieve. It’s great that Blizzard is finally changing this.

Yeah these achievements also make BG’s unplayable for the entirety of the event because it leads to an influx of players who aren’t geared for PvP and are also breaking away from the objective to get the achievement. It’s a nightmare for both parties

Not really we all finished the BG Horde won that one too…
I got the achievement years ago too, but I’m happy for the people that don’t have to do it if they choose not to. It’s not a “slap in the face”, good lord. It was way easier years ago to do anyway.
