nothing.
that’s exactly what they’ll end up doing.
they prob won’t have the flexibility to transfer gold from server to server like they used to, and their business practicies will be server limtied, but the big servers are probably going to see a HuokanTichondrius, HuokanMal’Ganis, etc.
No I know they still advertise, but most legit boosting services, ran it through discord. So it wouldn’t stop the repeat users, they could just go to discord. This only stops new people from using the services.
No one is under that impression, given the announcement very specifically says guilds and individuals can still do it. The post is about the excessive, disruption of chat through advertisements. Banning the communities is a good step.
This isn’t the end of it either. Blizzard has been slowly ramping up this issue. This isn’t the first step they take. It’s like the 3rd or 4th in the saga.
Im really curious on how they plan to actually enforce this. Seems like all thats really changed is: dont excessively advertise in trade or we’ll ban you.
I think you’re over estimating how many repeat customers they have. The service they provide is often not one that you purchase many multiples of times; for most I would guess it’s one and done. They haven’t been spamming Trade into oblivion for no reason, they need new buyers all the time.
Unless they are going to actively now go after these services run thru discord and third party web sites for RL money, it will only put a dent in the boosting going on.
So all that’s going to happen is no trade chat spam or lfg advertising? People that boost are most likely already a member of a boosting group on disc. How will Blizzard catch them?
