You do realize this only bans boosting communities . Individuals can always go " Offering Carries PM for details " The details being it will cost you gold
Boosting will still exist, they’re just trying to kill off the multi-realm/region communities that existed for it that created systems that incentivized the chat spam. though realistically even that will still probably happen on the few big servers that exist.
Literally all this is doing is punishing those who play on less popular realms that cared to buy boosts. They’re either going to be pushed into paying for services that break Blizzard TOS, forced to pay to move gold to whatever realm they can find a guild running boosts on, or pay to transfer their character because Blizzard still refuses to actually deal with the dead realm problem.

I bet the problem will be with a lot their “work force” already being part of high end guilds and they won’t be willing to leave them to join a “carry” guild.

Why would you say that? I don’t deny that the whales certainly exist who will simply buy tokens to fund these things, but that method has a cap, and is statistically a quite small minority of players. Then you have AH goblin types, but those are also a minority.
Again, they don’t spam Trade into utter uselessness all hours of the day for no reason. They need new people, and their service has diminishing returns for repeat buys on the same character, and arguably experience based diminishing returns across multiple characters.
Weren’t you the one posting about it with the discord image and people shutting you down?
One of the first things I do when I start a new character is to turn off trade chat. That channel hasn’t been useful for several expansions now

I mean all it takes is having an alt that’s geared.
If this only banned that instead. If anything on high pop servers I expect this will increase the amount of spam. Before it was just a few large boosting communities, now it will be 100’s of individuals/guilds spamming.
Because we have repeat buyers.
Rogues/hunters especially are buying multiple clears for bow/dagger.
Could be. I don’t remember who posted that thread. But I fully admit I was absolutely 100% wrong. I also still stand by what I said in that thread: this makes no sense and won’t change anything.

Like I said since it became Barrens 2.0 in Cata.
I actually try to spend as little time in areas where there is trade chat. Usually for AH or as a portal hub or Transmog depending on level of toon .

I found Trade to be perfectly usable through Legion. 
Maybe end of Legion was when people realized there was big money in carrying M+ every week. BfA was when I really couldn’t do anything in Trade.
Hell I built a AH station in my WoD garrison just so I didn’t have to return to SW.
As much as i would like the bow ,I’ll just keep farming until it either drops or I get it in the vault . More likely I won’t get it for an expansion or 2 when it is only good for transmog .
There is nothing really interesting/special to buy on the AH. The game has an artificial economy, due to nothing you buy being a) functional next patch b) Special (a few mounts is all). Collectors items collect dust in a bank, and aren’t worth the payout.
Bow doesn’t drop in vault.
FINALLY!!! I reported the same dude in /2 for months now for spamming that site’s services. They say, “Gold only,” but their site offers RMT for it, too. They only advertised gold only in game so it would be less likely they’d get banned.

Shell guilds under the same banner will likely end up getting bricked.
