It's ok to complain about Dragonriding if you don't like it

Yes, there is no way people don’t legitimately like it. It’s all a conspiracy of a few players… Oh wait I’m one of them. I think DR is neat in concept and was fun the first hour or so but having it as the main way to navigate around is a bad idea. Let me choose between regular flying or DR. Why is it every expansion we HAVE to do it Ion’s way? Have the races and events there but let me opt into them if I want. What’s so bad about letting me hop on my normal mount and fly around normally? Would it show how many people really dislike DR and it would hurt their feelings? I don’t get it, would be pretty funny if they gave us the option and you see the majority of people using regular flying over DR.

I got all the talents and it does get better. It’s still “clunky” feeling at times. It’s annoying to have to hit the button to unmount when you’re used to swooping in on a group of mobs and just start kicking tail and taking names. With DR you just fly off…

We don’t need 500000 threads of the same thing because no one wants to read the existing thread and wants to make their complaint an echo chamber

I do this a lot.

Do you hit Bloodboil?

Or maybe they “generally” don’t like it. I understand it 100% and have almost all the glyphs and max vigor and I still don’t like it. Crazy to think it’s not as good as you and some other people make it out to be. Different strokes for different folks. Just give me the option. You can dragon ride and I can use my normal flying mounts. It’s not rocket science Blizz, shelf your ego and give us what we want.

I never bothered unlocking flight in the old areas and have been contentedly riding my ground mounts for years.

That sounds like a very terrible personal problem.

Dragonriding isnt this ground breaking new feature. I mean really its just flying. People have already been flying for 14 years or so. Im guessing most people that are unhappy, are unhappy with it because its a more complicated flying than what we have had already. Reasonable point of view in my opinion. I dont dislike it myself its just not really amazing either

totally agree

What did I miss out on?

Freedom

I was playing the game on my terms and not grinding out achievements that I didn’t care about. That sounds like freedom to me.

I just got dragon riding yesterday, so I’m not sure i’m in a place to say good or not yet since I really haven’t gotten much past the training portion.

I really like the thought of it, it is very interactive. as of yet, no motion sickness, but haven’t done any races yet or gone really fast.

Although I will say if enough people enjoy it, per the past expansions, fun will be nerfed to hades. sooo… if everyone likes it, they won’t keep it LMAO

I am trying to like it since it’s not going anywhere, I’ve already paid for it, and have 18 years invested in WoW. But so far it’s just not hooking me. I’m kind of on the fence right now. In the last 2 days I’ve repeatedly exited the game in place out of disinterest.

As for complaining, I don’t see a problem at all with people expressing their displeasure with the design. What I do see a problem with is people expressing their outrage with other players expressing their displeasure at the design.

I don’t know how people are getting a hard time flying in dragonflight. It’s smooth, fast and practical. The glyphs are super easy to get and I get on my dragon to fly over 100 yards or even to cross the whole zone .

Yeah go ahead , but explain as to why ?

Because we should give them a positive feedback when they come up with something good and new. However, most of the displeased are just bragging about without understanding the system.

So designing a new feature, and trying to make it work, is considered stroking some ones ego?

I get blizzard isn’t the best company, but I just don’t see how these 2 thoughts even correlate with each other.

They wanted to try something cool and new. Sometimes thing fail. But to overreact this much, and then not make any sense with the your statement?

I failed on all Dragonriding races but I dont mind for now. But I can do everyday herbing/fishing… very fine with Dragonriding. I even performed well on Nokhud Offensive Dungeon with Dragonriding.

My issue with Dragonriding is its slight delay on big TVs enough to fail me on races. I am using OLED TV 3840x2160 on max settings. I dont mind the races becoz Dragonflight is awesomely beautiful on big 4K TVs. Some day in the future when technology gets better, big 4K TVs should be fine on fast-pace gaming. I completed the first 3 dungeons on Normal and M+15’s and M+16’s on Prepatch at my current settings. It’s just I failed horribly on races. But I have a solution in hand if I really want to beat Dragonriding races. Bring back my small 32 inch monitors just for completion.
