It's ok to complain about Dragonriding if you don't like it

Just target and press any attack spell placed on your secondary upper cast bar to automatically dismount and engage mobs

Quit the whining, they already said several times normal flying with your beloved normal mounts will come in a future patch.

Which is why dragonriding exists. To make traveling easier and WAY more faster.

Go get the 48 dragonriding glyphs and this problem fades away for ever. It takes you 1 hour max.

There’s an addon called “Dragon Riding Glyph finder” or something like that that places tomtom marks on your map so you can go directly to them without having to “find” them on your own.

@Deathyeet, thanks! That’s a great suggestion that might help a lot of people. The weight of the controller is an issue for me though. I stopped playing consoles years ago, mostly for this reason.

This is your rebuttal ?

Typical trolling response from Classic toon.

I have them already genius.

What’s your response to that ?

Personally, I’ve never cared if I could fly or not. I didn’t unlock flying in Legion or BFA and I only unlocked it in Shadowlands because all you had to do was just play the game and it would unlock eventually without even trying. I didn’t unlock flying in Zareth Mortis or Korthia and I’m not even sure I spelled either of them correctly. I didn’t buy flying in Burning Crusade and stayed on the ground the entire expansion and only bought it in Wrath because you had to fly to raids.

If I had the option to progress without Dragonriding I would be perfectly content. But, the expansion was designed around it. The environment is designed to feel oppressive without it. Quests can’t be completed without it. I’ve even heard there is a dungeon where you have to use it (but haven’t gotten to run yet BECAUSE I HAVE NO WAY TO PROGRESS WITHOUT DRAGONRIDING).

I just want to play the game I enjoy and not have to suffer through mechanics I don’t enjoy or want to bother with. And I don’t have that option this expansion.

I’m sure Dragon Riding is fun for some, but it’s not my thing. Sure, I’ll do it to get all the achieves related to it. I’ll use it in leiu of flying since… I can’t do that in Dragon Isles. But this whole thing of “OMG GOTTA GO FAST! HURRY! GO GO GO! … Oh. You Flew Into A Tree. Oops. Where’d That Come From?” Yeah… that literally happened to me last night in one of the races. Not a good look. And it’s not about messing up the race, I did it again and got Silver.

It has to do with the built in tunnel vision thing. If you’ve ever been involved in a car wreck, you know that’s the last thing you want to see. Maybe the kid’s’ll enjoy it? But for me? Not my fave thing.

People without disabilities can dislike something just because they don’t find it fun or as engaging as everyone else.

I don’t actually have any issues with dragonriding myself, I find it fun in some cases, BUT it does fall into the category for me that Blizzard always stumbled into…

DRAGONRIDING IS MANDATORY!

Blizzard really needs to find ways to make these new systems OPTIONAL and FOR FUN!

This issue is that you have no choice but to use Dragonriding in the new expansion. Dragonriding should have been unlocked with a sidequest with TONS of customization as they are building, and give it use for fun events, achievements, etc.

BUT the fact that is required to traverse the new zones and is to be used in dungeons and raids is again FORCING these new systems on every player regardless.

Again I find Dragonriding fun, but just give us this stuff for FUN - not for expansion game mechanics.

I’ll give my opinion no matter what the GD mob says… If its trash I’ll call it trash. As long as I’m not breaking the ToS idc…

I didnt like it at first, in fact, i would go so far as to say i hted. but after playing with it for a while and getting used to it, i think its pretty cool but can definitely understand the hate and love for it.

If you dislike Dragonriding, You’re just a strange human being, Flying has never been more enjoyable and the push to make ALL flying like this will happen, Every mount needs to be given this new way of flying in all zones, Its just to good

I doubt that. BFA and SL are and will always be dumpster fire expansions. Especially SL. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I don’t mind dragonflight, it is just unnecessary. Its just another system to a system that wasnt broke. Its another borrowed power that will be gone after expansion.

It’s INFINITELY better than being grounded and waiting for that garbage time gated pathfinder crap.

Dragonriding might be one of the best things that Blizzard has rolled out in many years. I’m not even referring to the welcome challenge of a new method of flying, but the fact that people can no longer just sit there and hover in the air. It forces people to be grounded more so you’re more likely to see other players questing instead of ghost zones and everyone rushing on a flying mount from point A to B to C then logging off. One of my early complaints from several years ago was that flying drastically reduced the amount of players we encounter while questing or hanging out in random towns.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. If you dont like pathfinder (More borrowed power) make a thread. It has nothing to do with the dragonflight system.

Dear Blizzard, we have complained every expansion to this point about how we want flying. Please take it away. We would rather be able to continue to say that you don’t care, and that you don’t listen to us. We would rather 100% ground speed into every mob pack possible in these giant new maps. You didn’t give it to us the way we wanted it, and we are ungrateful. We would rather wait 6 months and do an insanely long achievement or quest line before we can fly. For EACH of our characters. Thank you, have a nice day.

I could be wrong but I think more than just a few people are not digging the dragonriding. I have fully fleshed out the tree and still don’t care for it. Issues I had were getting to high points can be very time consuming. Sometimes the drake just drops like a stone for no discernable reason. Landing precisely can be next to impossible for everyday people, sure I bet there are some people that can land on a dime but I am not one of them. This can prove aggravating when trying to get to something that has a small area to land on.
I mean it’s fine I can live with it but I certainly don’t want it to become the new normal.

Giant new map… I think when warcraft first opened in beta, I thought that stormwind was huge. Then I found out there was all of Kalimdor as well.

But you got it on day one. If you don’t like it, don’t use it. Pretend it’s like any other xpac and ground mount. Nobody is forcing your hand here…
I doubt normal mounts will become obsolete because it is a cash cow for Blizzard.

Yes it does.

Pathfinder was a terrible system I’d consider broken. Now we have a better system.
