You’re certainly not making yourself look smart nor credible with the insults and tantrum.
It’s not, flippant yes, but a lot of traditions are dumb. Traditions are not beyond criticism.
?
You think game design is super easy and they’re being lazy or spiteful to not completely shake up the game and throw millions at the wall to give you personally what you want and to heck with everyone else. It’s delusional and entitled.
Why would I? This isn’t a private thread, sorry you don’t get your own personal echo chamber.
My relief is late and I’m bored shrugs
Not sure why this of all things is so incomprehensible to you, what conspiracy do you think is going on?
Amani weren’t just made up out of thin air three days ago. They have been a long standing part of the game with loads of history.
For the Temu Avatars? Mainly that it is all pretty much just straight up ripped off from NE’s. Right down to being traumatized by Teldrassil burning, as they join up with the very people that burned it.
Did some streamer say this? I see a lot of certain types fixate on this and outright try to reject the reality that people want to, ya’know, play Haranir.
Also for the record not playing a druid, don’t care for them.
And whole classes, not just a single spec. Midnight is really looking super low effort at this point. They really poured all their effort into their new whale milker.
Wow for someone begging and tantruming for a troll race, you don’t know their own history? They have been around longer than elves, they are also ancient. But when it’s a race you want, it’s good lore. When it’s one you don’t it’s bad lore. Hmm…
If the DM is letting them hog the spotlight that is a DM problem. A good dm will be designing situations to suit the entire party and politely shut down when one tries to take over or be in the spotlight. Same with character bloat.
I tend to have my backstories somewhere on the epic side of things yet my campaigns are going fine. I have a child prodigy and daughter of the Village chief who got exiled, my friend is playing the daughter of a noble who turned out to be a peg below the king, and those campaigns did just fine.
Bad writing? It’s DnD my man half of the campaigns out there are just a reskin of what ever fantasy media the DM recently consumed. And dnd is filled with nonsensical stories. I dont care if they were simple Joe the farmer, or Joe son of the king, but a 2.5 ft tall gnome beating a dragon no matter how strong they are is nonsensical.
Ok? And you don’t play alone in wow either? Not sure what this has to do with either of the things we were talking about. Unless you mean groups should be writing backstories together, which just leads to bland and boring character backgrounds.
My friend you don’t decide for me how much I play or enjoy a character. And if the character exists, and I play it, then it counts.
Stay mad friend, I’m sure it will get you far.
He was referring to DnD backstories, which is what I was responding to. I’ll hold my judgement on the teldrassil thing until I play through the zone quests and learn about everything.
This is their game. Their story, which they wrote with the Haranir in mind. Of course they don’t want to. I wouldn’t either. You’re going to have to learn engineering, build a bridge, and get over it.
It’s absolutely too late. Y’all continue to believe that if you cry loudly enough, you can strongarm Blizzard into scrapping their plans for new playable races that they’ve already written the story around well in advance, which is significantly harder than swapping out the 400 mount reward with another, and your suggestion to make them more or less to night elves what mechagnomes are to gnomes made me convulse.
You know, I’ve noticed that the current most common complaint about haranir on this board is specifically that they’re joining the Horde instead of being Alliance only, never mind that they look far more like a Horde race than an Alliance one, so Horde posters now want to piss and moan about not getting Amani or ogres instead, not unlike when the Alliance cried about getting mechagnomes over sethrak or ankoan, or when dracthyr were introduced and both sides suddenly claimed that they always wanted drakonid.
At this point, you hardly deserve the handful of Amani customizations that Darkspear are getting, let alone an allied race. And if you did get them in the form of the latter, then no one here would have a leg to stand on when it comes to complaining about new races being unoriginal.
We have 5 months till launch, there is plenty of time, if they put effort
and y’all can continue to believe is not while defending the lazy multimillion dollar company
I mean, come on, do you think they wrote this that much in advance? they stole the night elf lore and messed with the a.i and called a day, they can just say they are alliance only now
That is literally what they are, night elves
I bet you didnt convulse with nightborne and high elves, when its the same case
HMMM I WONDER WHY
Maybe because they are literally ANOTHER DAMN NIGHT ELF, and we already got nightborne for it and we dont need more alliance stuff in the horde???
MAYBE is that???
They dont, they are literally night elves with fur
They look like Malfurion updated model with the animal stuff and the druids of the claw in warcraft 3
Alliance asked for mechagnomes and they are gnomes, what else do you think they be in? horde?
which i still adovcate for then, but this is an whataboustim about the others, make your thread about then and i will support it.
Who the hell are you to say what we deserve or we dont?
You are just a spiteful an bitter about your past races, thats quite pathetic
I just saw WoWhead post about the questline about the roots of Teldrassil in Harandar, and now, your sugestion makes even more sense to me. Why would Haranir join the faction that literally destroyed one of the Trees they protect? Makes no sense.
Would be better Haranir being Alliance only and Amani for Horde.
Edit: I just remebered that the Amani troll are Blood Elves enemies since ever. So i don’t if it could be a good idea anymore.
