No, it has nothing to do with them specifically reporting it. It has to do with them not doing it on purpose. You don’t punish customers for your own mistake. If I work at a restaurant I’m not going to throw someones food on the floor and then expect to keep the money they paid for it.

I agree they didn’t do it on purpose, but it’s clearly not how the game is supposed to work. One week - one MC raid. The Blizzard employee who gave them to go ahead was at fault here, and Blizzard can’t go back on that decision because it will make them seem wishy washy.
Why not simply say that that raid was next week’s raid and let them keep the loot, but lock them out next week?

Literally, precedent has been set boys - What are they going to do, launch a CSI case against you to prove you did it on purpose then ban you? That’d only give strength to the streamer privilege meme.
at the moment your best option woudl be a total classic wipe. erase the the whole player base , yes it will punish the innocent in the process i am quite aware of this, then close the game for a week fix your garbage bin then reopen it. and open more and more and more and more servers and kill multi boxing at the same time as layering.
then release bc and wotlk because thats whats gong to happen anyways. blizzard copying everquests time locked progression system

But if they never did it past one time then the reasonable conclusion is that they did it once, saw what happened and didn’t do it again. That’s an honest person who does that. If someone did it once, saw it happen and then repeated the process then throw the book at them.

No, nykton who got and still has the talismin of binding, a legendary necklace that dropepd in molten core but was not supposed to, and was allowed to keep it, do your research mate.
How would they tell it’s been done maliciously if Blizzard won’t explain how layer duping the 2004 bug works so we can avoid it?
I’ve heard both reports of a guild on my server using this to exploit TF bindings and people who made hundreds of thousands of gold (ive seen video evidence but have no idea how widespread this was on my server)
While tempting i chose not to touch this stuff for obvious reasons , i hope appropriate action is taken against anyone who intentionally exploited this as much as possible
One would hope blizzard at least has the ability to tell if a person or group farmed raid bosses much more than possible

My issue is not that at all, but what about all the stuff the players got from doing the glitch in the first place.
Unless blizzard disappears it, it’s going to have a negative impact on the server once that ban wears off.
And yet Asmon is still not banned for abusing this exploit on live stream :^)

Thanks for clarifying this. As not only a member of Crusade but as a Mod for Esfand it was pretty annoying to have these people who did little to no research come in and make accusations that aren’t even true when in the same stream you guys gave the group the go ahead to start clearing the instance.
if they released wotlk right now bfa would be a empty wasteland. they’d literally kill their own expansion and people would then have valid proof everything after woltk was bad and blizz was wrong. yet again.
