It's good to see Ion believes M+ loot is too good

m+ could take away gear and we would still have m+ existing just because it’s just a relative, simple system that is consistent.

What is my ilvl? How far can I push x key. It’s that simple.

Here’s how to normalize raiding vs M+:

  1. Cut the loot drops in M+ by half, so it’s the same ratio as raiding (1 drop per 5 people).
  2. Require chronological dungeons every week, like raiding. So in most of SL, for example, you’d have to start each week with Necrotic Wake, then after that do Plaguefall, then after that do De Other Side, then Halls of Atonement, etc.
  3. Weekly lockout on each dungeon so you can only do each dungeon once per week.
  4. Increase difficulty as keys go up by continuing to add 1 additional affix every 3 key levels (5 affixes at +13, 6 affixes at +16, 7 affixes at +17, etc.). In addition to increased health & damage, of course.
  5. Eliminate the bonus ilvls for the great vault rewards.
  6. If the difficulty is more on par with raiding, after #4, then you can increase the ilvl of M+ great vault AND end-of-dungeon drops.

As I said: You can do it. But M+ players won’t like it. So they don’t do it.

i agree, remove the timer so we can go back to ccing all the mobs and fighting a tank and spank on 1 mob at a time, that would be so exciting I can’t even imagine.

It would still be more fun than pet battles.

(I say this as somebody who does a lot of pet battles… they’re terrible.)

How about we let raid gear get an ilvl boost in the raids? So yall dont have to feel like doing dungeons?

Such ridiculous suggestions. I find it funny that you think even by step 4, raiding would still be harder. Maybe we should remove gear drops from the first few bosses at the start of the raid? We couldn’t possibly have shriekwing(a +2 key level difficult boss) awarding mythic gear.

Why is it a thing tho? M+ and Raids are just content for ppl to play. Why forcing or nerf one side to buff another? Raid gears are still BIS if people want to push higher end game (Gavel, Jaithis, Edge of night…), but most M+ players don’t care much tho. If they want to push higher, they will raid.

Judging by how they speak about m+, they seem to have some very passionate anger towards it. They feel forced into m+ despite plenty of raid loggers managing just fine.

We’ve been doing that for years but Ion’s been crapping on raiding for the last 6 years now so I think people have given up on that.

I think we are passionate about it because it’s the MOST consistent part of the game we have, and a large part of why people still play the game. Literally this ONE system is why tens of thousands play the game. It’s important to have it work correctly because inbetween raid nights this is ALL there is to do.

:skull: you mean ion directly saying that raiding should drop the best gear, and actually making it so? Higher ilvl towards the end, and the best trinkets/weapons in the game.
