If you have more gold then them, you’re a gold buyer.
There isn’t any actual reasoning and logic these people provide other than setting their own bar low and then villainizing anyone and everyone who surpasses their own low bar.
Their example has three easily farmed items, a crafted set that is also relatively easily farmed (Skinners grouping with non skinners for easy kills, split skins if you’re down bad for the set, other makes gold or their own set), another crafted item, a BOE, and a mount.
Could this individual have bought gold? Yeah, maybe, but even then HOJ, SGC, Dals, and Orbs are all easily farmed and unaffected by if the player bought gold or not so even using them as examples just proves that Fried is reaching at best outright.
So breaking it down for this poster is pretty moot. They just want to believe this random human warrior bought gold and I can bet a lot that the poster quite frankly doesn’t care if they’re right or wrong, because in their mind, they’re right and you’ll never prove them wrong.
you just want everything to be cheap to make the game EASIER to play. some things being expensive are a feature, not a bug. and if that makes more people do RMT, well, that’s a stain on the player base. i don’t believe it though. i think people will rise to the occasion and actually do some work. do some farming. do some grinding. put the time in to get the reward. that’s the heart of classic WoW. its essence. we can’t forget this.
No you don’t. You constantly expect people to “take the path of less resistance”.
It’s why you hate gdkps and “dual spack”. You expect the worst from the playerbase, but now it doesn’t benefit you to have this argument so now you’re changing it?
“well if some people RMT for it then so be it” lmao. People WILL RMT for it, and it’ll be farmed relentlessly by hunter bots.
you could boil every skill down to saying “it just takes a long time”
memorizing chess moves just takes a long time too. i guess grandmasters have no skills
Depends on that unfortunately wide open definition of “hard”.
I do feel a better more accurate definition of Vanilla PvE is that it lacks the requirement of mechanical precision to clear the content.
But it must be stated also that the only content in Era / 2019 that plays correctly and is not nerfed is Naxx.
The rest of the raids and dungeons have had mechanics actually removed and nerfed as well as loot got buffed a couple of times and the last loot buff in 1.11 or 1.10 was kinda massive.
Additionally the classes all got massive buffs over time.
All of these methods were utilized in Vanilla, TBC and Wrath as well as Cata and MoP / WoD as catch up mechanisms so that everyone can see the content.
Stocks would be pretty easy for almost anyone to boost, honestly every class could probably do enough runs to cap out instances per hour with time left over, even a hunter which would probably have the hardest time because of the deadzone.
whatever you people say or think, this doesn’t change the fact that there are tons of gold being sold everyday to classic anniversary players since the release.
and anyone can check on those famous 3rd party sites.
but this doesn’t mean that anyone who have epic mount and rare boe bought gold…it’s expected for no lifers who play 24/7 to get much gold anyway and it’s obvious that many people will always buy gold for various reasons.
No life level to 60 the first week
Forego mount, epic mount, pre bis farming etc
Buy all the short term flips (elemental fire, blue sapphire, azerthonian diamond, etc) the first couple weeks
Resell them for 500-1000% more weeks 3-4
Boom, you’re now rich, buy what you want
It’s actually possible to have this much gold legit, it’s just very rare.
Step 1: You leveled a mage first
Step 2: You boosted your warrior
Step 2 Alternate: You leveled them both together dual box
Step 3: You got both of these to 60 in the same time it took normal people to reach 60 once, because mage is so busted in both personal leveling and boosting of others
Step 4: You spent every waking moment inside ZF
Step 5: You transitioned to Mara boosts when enough people bought gold to afford it (literally week 2)
Congrats. You’re now swimming in gold, gear, two 60s, and absolutely zero genitals of your preferred gender.
But yes, they bought gold. There is someone on Nightslayer who had LH helm and epic tiger as a human, inside the second week. That gold couldn’t have been cheap so early.
Or, to be devils advocate, they traded gold from retail for gold in classic. Unless it’s changed since classic to classic classic, blue post on that was “not supported, but not against TOS”
"The exchange of gold or items with another player on a different realm, faction, or version of the game is entirely at your own risk and is unsupported. These types of trades are often associated with the trade of real money for in-game items or currency, which is against our policy. Accounts found associated to these services will have gold removed as well as other possible account actions including up to account closure.
While we will review reports of scams between legitimate players and take action against scammers to remove them from our game, losses will not be restored.
We advise to avoid these types of trades unless you know the other player well and absolutely trust them."
The exchange rate is probably atrocious right now, but there are people on retail who legitimately farmed hundreds of millions on retail via playing the auction house.
To be clear, I wouldn’t be surprised if some portion bought gold with RMT, maybe even a majority. But why would you care? If blizzard doesn’t care enough to pay a minimum wage intern to catch obvious bots in their game, and just lets them farm for months between ban waves, I’m certainly not going to lose sleep over some losers buying gold.
u guys are crazy if u think someone who made 1k gold by now is a gold buyer, u severely underestimate the players who are online all of the time
very accurate, pretty much what i’ve done, my tsm is a total clownfest, blue sapphire is my top earner
its really really easy to make gold, its just a matter of time, that being said i don’t think anyone should be under the illusion that a lot of people aren’t buying gold, clearly they are, its just possible not to
Warriors can make 80-90g an hour selling lib boosts due to high demand and low supply of boosters. LHH mats on my server last I looked was 500-600g, 200g for devilsaur, 200g for dual crusader, means a little over 10 hours of farming over the course of like a few weeks. 20 if you wanted epic mount as well. Mages who can mara boost are making almost 150g an hour and theres been enough time now to rush a mage to 60 and then boost your warrior main up while making bank along the way.
