Not directly but effectively on Whitemane we had more layers therefore we had more spawns as a result of each layer having its onw loot. That was Classic 2019, and back then we had more players on Whitemane alone than they have on all of Anniversary now, meanwhile we had less swipers per capita than Anniversary while also having GDKP present.
I do not know why there are so many swipers on Anniversary but there are, but its sure as hell not GDKP that drives gold buying because if that were so then Whitemane Era would be infested with gold bots, but we have near zero now days.
You can still find the threads complaining about it being added because people were hoarding lotus to limit supply on the AH+in the world (since they were farming all of it)
Not understandings of the game, different views on the game.
Honestly from the way you’re describing things it sounds like you don’t even like Vanilla WoW anymore.
?? Vanilla is my preferred version of the game. I play it for prem vs prem pvp though, which unfortunately means my schedule lines up less and less with the people I want to play with.
You don’t know me, please don’t project on me.
I raid as a means to an end, the end being to have the items I want for pvp. 3, 4 hour raid nights a week, does not contribute to that goal. Ergo, I prefer playing with people who will clear the raids quickly and efficiently.
This happens with any game you sink thousands of hours into. Players learn how to not be bad. Players then resent others who choose to be bad.
If vanilla wow to you means wiping on trashcan bosses for hours because players refuse to learn their one button rotation and how to not die to the one mechanic then fine bro believe whatever you want to believe “vanilla” wow to be.
For the rest of us, we enjoy the game, we just don’t want bads wasting our time. It really isn’t that complicated.
See you’re a rarity if you’re looking for Prem vs Prem games.
Loads of premades dodge each other for more optimal HPH which is pretty bad for the PVP/BG playerbase as a whole.
I mean, HPH grinding vs serious pvp matches are different things. HPH grinders are ranking for the gear and nothing else. Those prems are dime a dozen, only a few of them are actually good. Some of them even get by by tricking pug teams into thinking they’re more dangerous than they are by using things like arcane bombs during opening clash to demoralize the pugs.
People looking for prem v prem participate in the HPH grind because you kind of have to because the vanilla honor system sucks, but all my favorite bg memories have been cracking another serious team and winning with the bois. I wish I’d had the free time during 2019, I genuinely missed out on being able to play in the WSG tournament, I doubt it would’ve gone well but not getting to participate at all sucks.
why would anyone grind if he/she can work 1hour in real life and buy an amount of gold worth of 10hours farming.
think about it…there is a real reason massive bots/gold sellers exist because everyone who have the money will simply buy gold instead of farming it, blizzard know this for sure and they are aware of all the gold buyers for that they add token in classic tbc.
I got to 60 early and had free reign of EPL mining. Got about 6 crystals, 3 blue sapphires and 3 azerothian diamonds in 3-4 days. Along with the ore and the dense stone i was easily able to afford my epic mount. This was a couple weeks ago. I tried it again last week and it was already overcrowded. Also Mind soothe is bis to mine tyr’s hand.
Honestly, none of that stuff would be even questionable for someone putting a lot of time into the game. I mean, almost half of its stuff you get from simply doing dungeons and running them a lot. Its all almost all BOP as well, for example the SGC, you just form up a group of friends and do arena, same with HOJ and Dal Rends. Deveilsaur is relatively cheap, and Lionheart certainly isn’t tough likely for someone who leveled up engineering.
As for the NE mount, well thats a bit, but guessing with the number of dungeons they did, they probably had a ton of runecloth, and who’s to say they don’t have friends who gave them some, or helped with the other things. If you plan right and do all the quests starting in the elven lands, your rep would be relatively high.
So that leaves cloudkeepers? but then basically your accusing anyone who has a BOE epic of RMT, lol.
