It's funny hearing excuses for players having Lionheart Helm

“Wow, you already have your epic mount, Edgemasters and Lionheart Helm. You must really be good at farming gold.”

“Aw yeah, man I’ve got all the best mining routes down pat, been playing this game since Alpha.”

Anyone want to post some of the excuses they’ve heard?

Honestly, it’s not like the mining routes ever change, and that helm is not that hard to farm all the mats for. Epic mounts also aren’t that hard to make the gold for if you put in some time, and the servers have been up for quite a while now.

Now edgemasters are a bit more of a challenge, but really how many warriors are you seeing running around with those this early on?

You should. But if you arent able to grasp why you should perhaps ask.

Perhaps you can enlighten me: where does one come up with all this time to farm when all they do is raidlog?

Please do not be naive. Anyone who isnt a mage and has a 100% mount right now bought gold. 99.9% of people packing Lionheart or Edgemasters (or both LOL) bought gold. You know it. I know it. They know it. Every single person that will ever read this post knows it.

Pretending they didnt is insulting your own intelligence.

That 0.125% DPS increase from edgemasters is worth the 5000k gold.

As I said I can see questioning the edges, the rest simply isn’t that hard to do, and how do you know if they raid log or have alts which they use for farming? Either way this seems just another post about someone whining because they see other people on epic mounts, or having gear they feel entitled to, so just assume they use RMT so they can justify why someone else has it and they don’t.

Gold has never been hard to make in wow, most people should easily have things like epic riding with in a few weeks of turning 60, especially if they are gathering.

Lets have some fun with this statement.

Lionheart is 12 arcanite. Thats 12 arcane crystals. Which are a 3% drop from RTVs. Its been JUST over thirty days since the anniversary realms went live. Lets say ten of those were spent at 60. Ten straight days mining RTVs only. That means ten days spent running the circuit in Azshara, Steppes, EPL or Winterspring. Hell ill include Silithus too.

You could hit twenty RTVs in each zone each day and statistically speaking you could get 3 crystals OR as anyone thats ever run RTV circuits will tell you - myself included - you might not get a damn thing except thorium ore. I personally went 5 months once without seeing a single crystal from hours of farming a day during 2020 from March to August (duration of my layoff that year). And i didnt exactly have a lot to do outside the house at that time.

By the way, RTVs respawn every fifteen minutes and are HOTLY contested. If you got an RTV every 15 minutes in each zone, thats 5 hours per zone.

Twenty five hours to hit 100 RTVs across 5 zones. Spread across 10 days thats 2.5 hours a day to get 100 RTVs where statistically you should come out with 3 crystals for that time investment. Or you might get zero.

But you arent getting 12.

Heres the flipside:
Arcane Crystals are currently 28g50s on US Nightslayer Horde. X12 thats 342g for the crystals. Bars are 53g per. So the xmute is running around 24g50s. Meaning buying crystals and xmuting costs you 28.5(12) + 24.5(12) or 342 + 294 = 636 gold.

The server is a month old. If you arent a Mage, whered that money come from? Or do you expect people to believe that they just “did a lot of gold farming” on a month old server while simultaneously chasing PREBIS gear with random drop rates.

The math dont math, chief. If theyve got LH rn, theyre a gold buyer.

Edgemasters are 1800g and are one of the rarest of the already rare world drop epics. If theyre wearing Edgemasters theyre a gold buyer.

If they have both, rheyre ABSOLUTELY a gold buyer.

It’s actually 1-3% depending on the class.
It only matters if you’re trying for best parse in the world.

You can do a mixture of buying crystals and farming crystals.

You can sell the ore/stone.

People pool resources. Buy edge for the guilds tank.

Selling crafting mats/boes from MC.

There are lucrative and pretty exclusive crafts still at this point not everyone has every thing.

Also people buy gold.

There are lots of ways to farm which don’t requite you to be a mage, but keep on making excuses. I also know there are people out there who RMT, but the vast majority don’t, as a lot of people just spend entirely to much time playing the game, so no having epic riding and the lionheart helm by now are not a huge stretch.

Anecdotally people think it’s anywhere from 20% to just under 50% of the population that cheats(Buys gold) on Era, SoD, and Anniversary servers.

It’s a multibillion dollar “industry” with real world criminal orgs running some of the businesses. Dude on YouTube has been receiving death threats for his videos documenting bots.

All I know is that whenever I jump off the zeppelin I pop my Epic mount in front of everyone and type in /s to the horde babies that they’re losers and to enjoy the walk, they always trigger get mad and tell me that I’m a filthy swipper, it’s hilarious :rofl::rofl:, it’s just players are trash at this game, don’t believe me ? Just look at the hardcore scene, how many veterans dying to stupid stuff

Request granted.

Some people, myself included, don’t like questing, we don’t want to be bothered by dungeon groups while leveling either. The answer? You grind mobs nearby herb/mining nodes instead of doing quests. Some people are focused on that while leveling and completely shun people and dungeons in the process.

I’ve taken this approach multiple times now on the way to 60 and by the time you reach 60 cap, you should be sitting on around 580-640 gold.

Okay , so let’s take a bit further, you are 60 cap, only a couple hundred gold short, what do you do? Blow it all in hopes of recouping costs, or save/budget tightly for MC consumes etc and only get exactly what you need. Run Strat Live a handful of times and maybe grab a few orbs and some BOE’s ? That’s only a few extra days after the gold stockpile and 60 grind.

Time: let’s talk about who has time for such escapades. People, and couples who chose not to have kids, people who work from home, people who took time off to be on vacation entirely around this holiday season, who can afford to take 3 weeks off for gaming , family time etc.

It’s really not a hard concept.
