that’s interesting, nightslayer-alliance has at least 3 patterns, the first guy got it before MC released and charged 500g/craft (so all those lionheart warriors on the world first logs had to pay him), the 2nd guy got it from mc the night it released and caused an insane spike in the mat prices because he will craft for free, the 3rd guy is some dwarf from the dwarf only guild and i have no idea what he does
the guy with the 500g fees is completely decked obviously, he has lionheart, cloudkeeper, crusader etc etc, he is a prime player to be labelled a gold buyer by these type of threads
It’s crazy to me how Warriors of all classes always seem to be so flush with cash from “just playing the game bro”.
I make a ton of mage gold but even with the ridiculous time I spend playing some random warrior running around with 4x the gold value in gear I have farmed in a month.
What a sad and nothing thread. I dont even understand the point of it other than airing out personal grievances.
That or the sheer ignorance of gotcha baiting over the fact that RMT still exists. Like yeah no crap it still exists and it will always exist no matter how many people report bots or what Blizzard winds up doing to mitigate it.
My buddy made 300 gold afking in 3 days at level 40 cause he realized the mats to make white bandit masks made him double profit from vendoring the methods exist
They use addons to tell them what to do for various reasons. dad guilds because they’re drunk, mom guilds because also drunk, bro guilds because it’s embarrassing for them if they can’t clear post nerf content.
You don’t need them, but people have convinced themselves they do. Blizzard would be smart to just ban everything, tho I would like something akin even a copy paste of Tidy plates because the default way that Debuffs are shown up top on the enemy character frame is really bad. Just moving them to the health bar is massive play improvement.
I bought golden orbs for near vendor cost while leveling, sold them for 12g each. Bought righteous orbs for 15g each, sold them for 60g after. Im not quite sure how you guys go through classic without making very OBVIOUS investments you KNOW will eventually increase. Sounds like an overlook on your part, and is not the issue for normal players. My friend took up enchanting and she has since aquired +55 healing enchant, she makes at least 20-30g per enchant of which she enchants many…
This is a really idiotic take. I have 2 characters that are alchemist, one 35 for the transmute and my main warrior. The only reason i dont have lionheart yet is because i have split my gold focus between my warrior and my warlock. And yet I’m still over halfway there. You underestimate hiw bad you are at earning gold. 300 gold for arcane crystals, but the free transmute x2 adds up. For the last week ive been selling my xmute for 20g profit, thats 140g. I really could have gotten my 25 druid up to 35 for the transmute and id be there already. I made 25g on vendoring BRD drops in 2 hours. Get better at the game or respect others time investment.
Im not even farming my own mats.
I’ve said it multiple times at this point, over 100g/hr is totally possible for a solo warrior in a stabilized economy (replace stabilized with BWL or higher raid released). On server launch is the most volatile the economy can be. High value items/materials will sell below normal market value one hour (due to many people farming it in advance because of expected value) and then being 100’s of % above normal market value the next as the supply is cleared immediately due to the demand. You can make so much gold even selling normally “low value” materials during launch economy.
These guys are just hopelessly bad at making gold. And I say that as someone who routinely gives up on messing with AH at all and will simply ship my items off to a friend to sell and split whatever it sold for 50/50 just because I HATE posting/reposting items on the AH over and over.
It might be a small fraction of people but wouldn’t some players have multiple people farming for them because they want their MT or best DPS player to have all of their best items?
Now tell me where the hours in the day for that + farming raid consumes + raiding + farming gold + farming gear from 5/10 mans that wont be replaced in MC comes from. Only 24 hours in a day and lets say 8 hours goes to sleep, 8 hours goes to work/school and 2 hours goes to everything else that isnt WoW.
For MASSIVE things like arcanite for a Hand of Rag or Dark Iron for resist gear for a Rag tank, sure i can see a group effort.
But guess what shortcuts ALL OF THAT too?
No matter how hard you try, you cant lie to the clock. Its contents are finite.
Fun fact: the same things that give away gold buyers are also the same types of flags the IRS looks for for undeclared income. Indicators of living beyond your means. When everyone has the same 24 hours each day but guy A has 200 gold and guy B is sitting on 17,000 gold… you start looking closer at Guy B and you start noticing the inconsitencies in their explanations of where the extra liquidity originates from.
Sure, for a progression guild that makes some sense. You are going for records, competing for something and motivated guild members want to get it done. Guild members who put in the time for that are hopefully getting meaningful rewards for their time and effort. I’ve had some help when I was an MT but nothing like having all the most expensive items in the game handed to me - more like some consumes or enchants the guild paid for.
I could see it for some very sweaty guilds who have unfinished business and wanted to get the totally meaningless “World first Ragnaros kill in Classic Wow Anniversary” - cause that is really important.
I’d say the odds are far higher that the player is a shameless gold buyer and plays with people who are also gold buyers or at least don’t care that their buddy is a dirtbag of a player.
