I guess that’s where perhaps we different in our analysis of this ‘hypothetical’ guild.
I would guess most guild that are running lots of memes will lose any high parsing warrior / healer pretty fast over these phases.
All it takes is one good item to go to someone that doesn’t consume or make any effort and core raiders will start leaving.
Having 4+ tanks, good healers, and good dps by naxx seemed to be really hard for a lot of guilds in 2020 - though quite a few were successful - I think more fell apart
Actually legit, so is pre-nerf KJ, they are in my opinion on par with Mythic Raid bosses in retail just different because of how the difficulty is applied, tho KJ is more modern mythic feeling with actually having a few mechanics that will 100% wipe the raid.
We had a stable core of tanks/healers. We had great loot distribution doing DKP+LC on big ticket items (DFT’S etc, if the LC voted you, you got charged the DKP for it obviously)
I say we were decent as like, everyone did atleast the bare minimum, consumes + wbuffs + beginner understanding of their rotations and not being totally brain off. You’d be surprised how much of the population that puts you ahead of.
Not all guilds do all raids and that’s okay.
Just because it’s there doesn’t mean you need to be in there.
Sometimes people have better gear and that’s okay too.
Your way of playing the game does not sound fun at all.
It sounds very stressful and joblike.
The fact you call it “carrying” rather than “helping” says a lot about how you view raids.
It is also entirely possible to play the game well without treating it so seriously that people start screaming at each other on Discord if someone makes a mistake.
Failure is normal even on 20 year old games.
Especially on 20 year old Casual MMORPGs.
Vanilla WoW isn’t a raid/end game focused game.
It was designed as a leveling game.
You’re supposed to do dungeons for gear as you level up just like you do areas for gear in Diablo games but people are so hard focused on getting to 60 because “the game doesn’t start until 60 bro” that they either burn out from grinding or they stop having fun with the game and start getting angry when things don’t go their way. Also known as “mad because bad”, you see people like this in casual and serious raiding guilds. They’re the types of people that can’t accept they’ve reached their skillcap.
I’m just saying there are very likely multiple players that legitimately have 2500g. Maybe even more than there have been edgemasters that have dropped.
It’s hilarious how much they don’t hide it. Lionheart Helm, epic mount, edge masters, flurry/axe of the deep wood with both crusader enchanted. I’m sure they sat around farming the 5kg for that already lol
We have very fundamentally different understandings of the game, don’t project your issues on me. Vanilla wow came out 20 years ago, I’ve cleared these same raids on private servers multiple times (where they were tuned far harder than what we saw on classic), I’m not interested in hours of wiping on bosses because people couldn’t read/watch a 5 minute guide for the 2 or 3 difficult bosses in a tier.
If that’s what you like that’s fine, but don’t take your issues out on people who don’t find that fun.
Nobody got loud in my guilds raids at any point from BWL to our eventual disband to roster issues in ToGC. That’s not a thing that just happens all the time anymore. Most of the RL’s that are like that, aren’t as good at RLing as they think they are. And I say that as someone whose all time favorite RL was that guy. Loud af when people were being stupid.
Well if they allowed GDKP in Anniversary then pugs would not need to buy gold, and the botter Blizzard employees would not be able to sell that gold to the player base. You know they are the ones doing it, this is why they are so rarely banned on the “popular” version of the game and why the so called ban waves are so far apart.
Idk, I don’t really feel like being part of a scene where people routinely buy gold for consumables because they don’t have time to farm enough gold to pay for the consumables that the Raid requires of them, especially if you get into Flasks.
Pumpers just want to be left alone. they banned our pug system so we will just not pug, it is pretty simple.
But gold buying will be insane in fresh because there is no way to pug to earn gold so they will all just buy it (except the lucky like 10% that get rare drops, good farmers, etc).
