It's funny hearing excuses for players having Lionheart Helm

I wish Elon would buy classic and hunt down the gold sellers.

Wow, the formatting on that got shot to hell. Lets try again:

2500g/60g per lockout = 41.6, round up to 42.

42 hours spent in Stockades. Expecting anyone to believe that a modern gamer - who has witnessed everyone around them buying gold nonstop, destroying server economies and facing zero consequences - spent 42 SOLID hours of in game time doing nothing but Stockades boosts AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE in the last thirty calendar days - is absolutely unhinged.

Its a lie. Its a BIGGER lie than the dude who dropped 200k on Gressil back in 2020 and tried claiming he got the gold “because he just farmed a lot of dire maul”.

Well this is totally doable - I’m sure many boosters do 50-80hour weeks, but we all know almost every warrior just bought the gold.

Correction, edgemasters are a rather massive dps increase of +70 (~5% dps increase) for offraces thanks to reducing your glancing blow penalty from 35% to 15% and reducing hit required from 9% to 6%. You will wear them from now (preraid) until you pick up hungering cold from KT (or tbc prepatch comes out which is significantly more likely).

In the stockades alone? No. But some people were 60 in like a week. I am still not 60. So do I believe that some of these players have done crazy things. Grinds. Yeah.

Some people also play the AH as a mini game that make more gold than anyone.

Some do buy gold.

Not necessary unless you’re chasing parses.
AS long as the boss goes down it doesn’t matter who did how much damage.

Enjoy raiding with the noobs.

but but but but but but but but but

Stop.

Just. Stop. You insult yourself by continuing. You know what the deal is. So do we.

At this point, attempting to rationalize like this may as well be an admission of guilt that youre doing it too.

If your guild is remotely serious and you’re playing offrace you want these. You might even want them as mainrace due to weapon competition being so awful with the short phases.

I will, they have more fun because they let people play Feral Druids and Enhance Shammies.

Great. Good players bring memes to raid on very rare occasions as well.

But generally they approach the raid with the mindset that they will all do whatever is possible to personally optimize their toon for the success of the raid.

Personally I play to pvp, I have zero desires to have multiple memes waste our time when they could respec and we can clear the raid in 1/3 the time.

You sound like the type of play that would yell at a Ret Paladin who stated that they have no intention to respec holy and likely won’t raid at all.

Good guilds can still bring these specs. The expectation though if you’re playing feral in a semi-serious guild is that you have MCP’s and wolfshead helm. Most ferals won’t do this, because farming MCP sucks, understandable, but if you won’t put in effort nobody even remotely serious wants to carry people.

Why would I yell at them?

There are a few rets I know and would bring to raid because they are amazing gamers. The rest I would only bring as holy.

But rets can just pvp and rank and be totally fine - it is a pvp and leveling spec, not pve.

It’s a 20 year old game you don’t have to treat it so seriously.

The average dad guild clears MC in an hour and a half.
If you don’t have time to play once a week for 1.5 hours you don’t have time to play WoW.

Sure, an hour and a half for MC. And then you’re still doing BWL and MC when AQ40 is out, and AQ is closer to 3 hours for your hypothetical guild. Now what?

What about when Naxx opens? And you’ve got a 4+ hour naxx and a 2+ hour aq40 and you probably still need to squeeze BWL/MC somehow for bis items like DFT/rejuv gems.

And they will also never clear naxx and make up excuses.

The play-requirement jumps significantly after AQ40.

While still easy for good players, 95% of wow players will never clear vanilla naxx even in this round.

Think you’re missing his point.

PVE is there for you to get gear for PVP, and instead of being a burden its better to spec optimally so you can get that PVP item faster.

Doubt most dad guilds are doing 4h naxx.

They likely do a few weeks of multiple day naxx and hardstuck on either patchwerk, loath, 4 horse, or saph and then their good warriors / healers get poached by a good guild and they collapse and call it until tbc.

It’s possible. My guild was fairly solid , it took us 3 nights of prog per week for like 3 weeks to finally full clear naxx in 2019? The same core went on to clear Vashj/KT pre-nerf in tbcc so we weren’t that bad.
