It's Afraid

These comparisons are patently absurd. Why would I quit playing the game because of one negative player interaction?

Blizzard has announced that a desired feature will not be part of the upcoming product. So I’m choosing not to spend my money on it.

As for some of your examples, you’d better believe I quit that player. Blocked /ignored, added to a blacklist, why on earth would I continue to engage with someone like that?

Losing loot rolls is just part of the game, that’s one of things I love about RDF, I’ll be back in another dungeon soon.

Retail is a sham compared to Classics. Layering was an abomination brought to us to support super realms.

Neither of those have any merit for immersion.

So my claims need substantial proof but your don’t? (Twitter and forum “polls” don’t count)

Agreed. I’m one of those.

Same.

See. Here is the unnecessary part. Why do you need features to make things faster when you just said it’s okay to move at a moderate pace? Nothing is stopping you from doing dungeons and questing now, other than applied effort.

Nothing that some applied effort can’t do right now.

You just said if you’re not having fun are you even playing? I’m reminding you that it’s not all sunshine and rainbows.

A consumers choice.

But it’s not fun losing. They should do something about that since not having fun = not playing the game, correct?

Alternatively they could SoM that, and give more quest completion XP.

I disagree. Sometimes it is. I’ve had a blast in battlegrounds that I ultimately lost. Close games are some of the best. “Losing” in PvE is kind of a weird concept. Did we wipe? Ok, did we learn something?

This is where we disagree. The lfd isn’t to make things faster, it’s to make it possible. Even as a holy priest I didn’t get dungeons often enough in Vanilla classic. I mostly leveled to 60 with solo questing. On a dps alt it was even worse. I skipped some dungeons because I just could not find a group. Your so called applied effort and others suggestion we join a guild and all dungeon group problems will be solved is nonsense. It doesn’t work for most people.

Yep, that’s literally how it is for me. Questing with the odd dungeon to break up the monotony.

If I was pushing for server first 80 (like I ever would) and dungeon spam was the fastest way there’s no way I’d be running the dungeons with 4 pugs, I’d have a dedicated 5 man group and I’d only be using the dungeon finder if it provided something extra like bonus XP. Whether or not it existed it wouldn’t affect my playstyle in the slightest.

with retail and all of the power systems they keep putting in, even though players continuously say they are bad, i highly doubt their “research” involves much more than going “hey bob should we do this thing?” “yeah why not”

Either you’re a) bad at getting into groups or b) have an absurd amount of dungeons you want to do

That’s not for you to decide.

aside from the daily I wouldn’t mind honestly.

They could just restore it to a daily quest like they did before LFD. Should be simple enough.

I’d be all for no LFD if realms were connected so we could actually make groups in the first place. But when you’re on a small faction, there are bare any players out there. Brian needs to come out and say, “Look, we’re not doing LFD, but we’ll be connecting all the realms so you’ll be fine. Your 1k faction will effectively play like the 20k ones.” If he just did this, all would be well. The giant riot would go away.

It won’t matter to Blizzard at this rate, but I will play TBC for another month or 2 and if LFD is still not added back into Wrath then I will be one of the people quitting and I will do something else.

I am all for keepings things close to original, and I can even make arguments as to why certain things should be kept out for a period of time, and I understand LFD wasn’t introduced until about halfway through, but this is beyond me.

Being able to port to a dungeon while I am questing, do the dungeon, then be back where I was questing was one of the greatest features of Wrath.

We’ll see how it goes but here’s hoping crosses fingers

If they are chain running dungeons and that’s not enough then what is?

Who said they were chain running dungeons?

Why do you keep making up arguments? I never said I wanted everything to be sunshine and rainbows; I started in a contested PvP server for a reason.

I never said several of the things that you’re arguing against. What is your deal, man?

The availability of rewards or lack thereof makes no difference to me. I just want to be able to queue dungeons on alts while levelling.

Read what I was commenting too. You’re taking things out of context.

Don’t take my comments out of context. Read what I was commenting to.

Never said you were. Are you high? I was commenting to the priest.

The Priest said they hadn’t ran enough dungeons as a holy priest in Vanilla. I commented. Why do you think my comment to them was directed at you?

They said they didn’t run as many dungeons as they would have liked to. You made a judgment that they must have wanted to run too many dungeons. That’s not for you to decide. You don’t know what time of day they play, what server they were on in classic, what kind of tanks and DPS were available. You don’t get to make these kinds of decisions for other people.

You’re making logical leaps that make no sense. Even in context you’re being disingenuous.

I never said that. I asked why would you play if you’re not having fun?

Totally ignoring the context of my comment so let me repost it for you.

Read please.

I mean I do play even if it’s not fun all the time. Like building groups for dungeons. Not the most fun but it leads to fun times.
