The fanboi posts cheering Blizzard to stick to their guns are a fear response. They know what’s going to happen. Brian already said on Twitter that he’s surprised by the scope of the backlash. This will be overturned. Blizzard may be inept but they aren’t oblivious. When un-subs start to skyrocket they will change their tune. I am not even worried anymore I feel like we have already won.
Hopefully they just remove any rewards for using the system.
Want to run dungeons for vendor gold or shards forever? Be my guest.
If they removed the extra XP from finishing dungeons people would finally understand that dungeon leveling is slower than questing.
Who cares exactly? Why would that matter to anyone? Feels like the only benefit to everyone learning the one true fastest leveling route is maybe you won a bar bet. Other than that, people are going to do what they enjoy doing.
It would matter to those crying for RDF. Dungeon leveling is really slow if you’re not chain running or doing them rested.
They would be upset that the dungeons only fill a couple bars. “Can’t we get extra Xp for finishing it?”
It’s a slippery road when catering to casuals.
link to source?
im not lurking into the cesspool that is twitter
What do casuals have to do with this?
Pretty sure it’s not casuals spamming dungeons to level. It’s those of us who are sick of doing some random quest for the 400th time.
And there’s no point in even narrowing it TO casuals, everyone can level that way.
I’m honestly at a loss as to how to respond to your post sir. It makes no sense from top to bottom. I will take my best shot and say that your whole post seems to be predicated upon the assumption that people only want LFD so they can level faster with dungeon grinding. That assumption is quite frankly preposterous. As it is the foundation for your entire argument there is really no reason to address your bizarre slippery slope herring.
I would be fine with that as long as I can still get my Perky Pug somehow.
RDF is only a convenience. It doesn’t solve any problem.
People who’ve level 400 times should realize that dungeon grinding isn’t the most efficient way.
That’s up to you to do it, but it shouldn’t be buffed because people are too lazy and stubborn to realize it.
Retail is a single player game.
Classic is an MMO.
False. I don’t like RDF because it ruins immersion on multiple levels. It’s only a convenience. It has no problems it solves that effort can’t already.
still waiting on op to deliver
Ha… spoken like someone who doesn’t actually play retail.
Guess I can beat Normal/Heroic/Mythic raids single player? M+?
Retail 5 mans require more coordination than any raid or dungeon content in TBC or Classic, not sure what you’re on about.
It seems the people that think that LFR and LFD ruined the social aspect of the game, never had any social skills to begin with and couldn’t talk with people once they weren’t forced to interact with you to ask for an “inv”.
it’s not about it being slower, it’s about it being much more fun
So its faster with the extra XP, don’t worry we know that.
on any m+ sure
normal you can go auto mode
I haven’t played that garbage game for years now. Best decision.
Again, retail is garbage. Using it as a reference is only a negative thing. And the normal dungeons are really really easy while leveling.
False. LFR is mind numbingly easy, except for when its not. Any boss that requires more then 10% effort isn’t done. RDF is the brainchild behind this type of coddling of bad lazy casuals.
Then that’s the benefit! You don’t need teleports or automation.
Yeah but you guys keep points to LFR and LFD as the erosion of the social aspect of the game when those are literally unused features by main players. No one uses those outside of catch up mechanics or checking out the raid for fun. Actual content requires just as much social interaction as it ever has.
On the same hand people will say “I haven’t played retail in years”, then say “retail sucks and is easy”. So what is it?
If I don’t watch a movie, I don’t review it.
