Yes, there are parts of the game that are less fun and we deal with them knowing that they lead to the parts that are more fun.

Forming the group for 5-man content just doesn’t seem to be valuable enough to protect as is when we know the tech to automate it works so well.

False dichotomies are false.

Sometimes it leads to fun times. Sometimes it leads to not finding a group and wasting that play time staring at the lfg channel. I’d like to increase the amount of times looking for a group leads to fun times. The lfd does that.

Anything that doesn’t support your narrative doesn’t count, right?
Forgot to include Reddit and youtube polls, but those don’t count either, right? You have nothing to show that support for Dungeon Finder isn’t the majority.

Its not about “being efficient” at that stage its more about convivence.

Yeah this is the same complacency I felt before Wrath when I was thinking to myself “Man here comes Wrath, which is when LFD comes. I sure can’t wait to use LFD”

Legit. I never imagined we’d have to argue to keep a feature in the classic game.

WoW has been, and always will be, the MMO for casuals. That’s why WoW gained popularity. Honestly check out any other MMO before or during WoW’s time and you’ll understand this.

Evidently if people want an authentic version of Wrath they need to look to private servers. Which is sad.

I’m not trying to support pservers, but I know quite a few people who stopped playing on them in preparation for an official Blizzard wotlk server. We’ve talked about it quite a bit lately, and some of them already started right back up on the pservers after Blizzard announced the current proposed changes.

I’m surprised more people don’t play Chromiecraft. I love the premise of staggering content. Keep players at a certain level for an amount of time. Slowly progressing to the final destination of Wrath. Right now it’s only at the second raid of Vanilla, so it’ll be a long, fun ride. And it plays super smooth.

Stop, I’m wearing tight leather pants!

It’s so inefficient that casuals will hate it if it doesn’t have buffs.

Casuals don’t like having to run the same dungeon 10-15 times.

Retail is that visions dream.

They realized over the years it conformed to much to the casual single player base that it lost the roots of what made it an MMO.

Thankfully they’re trying to avoid that.

I’m ok with this.

If there is a compromise I think this is it. Just make it a system for getting groups, not some extra system of progression, and I know my concerns would be much lower.

That guy in charge is a total idiot. He has no clue what is going in in these classic servers. He needs to be canned. Yes fired. I dont ever wish fir someone to lose their job but in this case it needs ti happen. Put someone in charge that has some common sense. Hopefully someone that gets it. But honestly just someone with some common sense.

We dont need decisions based off anecdotal feedback. The decline in wow had nothing to do with lfd. Lfr, yeah. That is a joke. But lfd was one of the things they got right. And this moron just doesnt get it.

There are a lot of people that want to replay the classic expansions. And yeah, a lot of us want a better version the 2nd time around. The fact they are considering making a change shows they at least understand that part. But removing lfd because the “classic” crowd thinks it is bad for the game. Just go away. Dont put him on retail either. Get him out of the building.

Why not offer both on different realms. Let the best prevail

Sounds like an arguments from someone who stopped at TBC and never played Wrath.

Non LFD servers would be as dead as Classic Era.
