It's 1:55 AM server time and I can't get a damn BC quest done because of multiboxers

All MMO’s allow multiboxing…

Why would Blizzard ban me when I pay 5x more than anyone else?

Seems off to me…

If you see an area being farmed by many other people, the logical answer would be to go somewhere else.

Guilds have been farming mats for their guild bank from specific locations as a group since Classic.

It’s the same thing objectively. You see many characters farming an area. It’s irrelevant how many people are involved.

Except the part you are missing, is it does not matter if it is one person or not; these are seperate toons; seperate wow accounts.

That’s exactly the nonsensical analogy that I referred to in my original post. Thank you for reinforcing my point, and feel free to add it to the 139439032 such posts in the lottery jar for the next time you need an excuse. :clinking_glasses:

But it’s not nonsensical. You show up to a farming spot and see 10+ characters there. It’s absolutely irrelevant how many players are involved. Your only solutions are to try and fight for spawns or go somewhere else.

by that joke argument #BANGUILDS #BANGROUPING #BANCOMMUNITY.
honestly…the best bet for some here is to just go play a single player game.

their perpetual, incessant complaints always come down the same crap illogic that has no place in a game like this.

  • bad boxer stole muh node
  • bad boxer wont let me gouge
  • bad boxer ganked me

None of which is exclusive to boxing.

Your opinion is a lot more subjective than objective. Must feel nice to contradict yourself so openly, but by all means, you do you.

HIS views are subjective???
The ONLY thing here that ISNT subjective is the FACT that the GAME MAKER ALLOWS boxing.
Beyond that pretty much everything in these threads is subjective…

Heres some older blue comments on the topic.
Some of you really need to read it so you understand that boxing AINT going anywhere for a reason.

Then how would I complain on GD then?

Multiboxers don’t control an entire area. What you’re referring to are bots, not multi-boxers.

I’ve never once in 14 years not been able to complete a quest because of multiboxers… not once.

Bots can have groups of somtimes 20 to 30 of them in an area.

The average multiboxer is between 2 to 5 characters. I’ve seen 10+ at a time maybe twice a year.

Report and move on.

Gotta love all the projecting the anti-multiboxers do in place of a real argument.

You saying this while reiterating the same 2 arguments in favor of multiboxing is hilarious. Enjoy being in denial for as long as it benefits you, I suppose.

Like I said…pretty much ALL of your anti boxing jokes amount to these…

  • bad boxer stole muh node
  • bad boxer wont let me gouge
  • bad boxer ganked me

None of which are exclusive to boxing.
You dont want to compete for resources…we get it…go play a single player game… “problem” solved

I multibox and will never apologize for it. I started doing it 2 and a half months ago because endless amounts of free time entered my life because of life happens.

I have 6 accounts, there’s no way I can control an entire area like the OP suggests. My other characters follow me around, perform same actions or same key pressed for mixed groups.

I am getting better at using the software and controlling things, but multiboxers don’t swarm an entire area and control it for 24 hours.

You’d have to have 5 to 10 separate people with coordinated groups of 5 in order to take over an entire spawning area like you are. No multiboxing group can be that coordinated… it simply does NOT happen… EVER.

Trust me, staying in a stationary area isn’t what I’d call the best resources of my time and certainly isn’t something I’d ever do. I level my alts through dungeons, quest in groups of five.

I don’t PVP, I don’t do competitive raiding. I just like to keep to myself and do my own thing.

Bots are the ones that swarm entire areas of zones. You’ll see it in Vol’dum and Drustvar ALL the time. Alliance Boomkins farm the swines all the time.

I’d like to know what zones/areas are actually being hit. I haven’t quested in BC in a very long time (and won’t ever until it gets modernized to not suck donkey feces when compared to literally every other expansion content…ah classic/vanilla…how horrible of a time you actually were), but I can’t remember anything others then mote farming that was ever farmed religiously (oh wait clefthoof leather was too). Nothing that would certainly impact the ability to quest.

BC quests suck in general. They still suffer from the vanilla quest design of stupid low drop rates and slow as crap respawn times. I guarantee I can level any class and spec in Wrath content way quicker than someone questing through BC can do. You would be much better off doing Wrath (BC dungeons are better XP overall though).

If going Wrath, do HF > BT (more people go to BT) and just grit your teeth until you get to the early middle parts of the zone. At that point, you’ll have areas to yourself practically. It’s only the beginning of all the zones that tend to be a mess imo.

That’s coming from someone who has leveled 48 toons (of which probably 46 had no boosts).

As someone that does support multi-boxing. Going to chime in yet again.

Multi-boxing in on itself is not the issue here. Multi-boxing is just a tool. The issue rests in how people choose to utilize that tool. There are mean players and there are nice players, and there are those in between.

This is not something new. If you’re not familiar with the song. Look up Ni-Hao by Nyhm. Uploaded in 2007. People were farming back them and making it hard for people to do things they wanted to.

Was this because of multi-boxers alone? I doubt it. He does make mention of gold farmers. Not sure if that is a reference to gold sellers which would be illegal even then I think.

In my opinion the real cancer to WoW would be the botters. A multi-boxer has to log off at some point. Even if they don’t log off, the game is not going to do anything other than occupy login spots. A botter can just run their game and scripts and the game plays itself. All the while getting their hair done or going grocery shopping.

People say that because that’s the official statement on it from Blizzard.

Also this post, like every other anti-multibox thread confuses and/or conflates botting with multiboxing.

If you suspect someone is breaking the rules, report them.
If you have a suggestion for a change, make a reasonable post about it or submit it with the in-game tool for suggestions located in the help menu.
