Nothing is deleted during the gear upgrade. Everything in your bags is mailed to you. Check your mail, even if you don’t see a mail icon. As far as I know too, those are “special” mails that don’t ever delete.

I’d put in a ticket. Do mention the exact Item name and quest number, that would be helpful.
I am seeing that one completed, and not seeing the item - mail is empty. Not sure exactly what happened here. While I can see it completed, I can’t tell when it was completed.
You can’t choose any Chromie time on a character above 61, I think you’re character is max level if I found the right one.
BFA is the default for levelling in WoW currently so if you weren’t max level, and never changed timelines via Chromie you’d be in BFA by default and it wouldn’t show up as an option.
Changed, thanks! I thought that meant you wouldn’t be kicked out at 60, could stay in it until 61. I didn’t think you’d be able to choose a timeline at 60 itself. Clarification of the clarification!
I was trying to figure going into BFA timeline as a way of being able to get the cloak back without going to higher means.
If anything, i wanted to say thank you to everyone for the great responses I have received here and the information. Been playing now for well over 17 years this game on and off and this is the first time I have ever had a techincal problem like this and its overwhelming seeing so many informative friends post on this to help me out.
Even if I dont get the cloak back, this is all very appreciated.
Just FYI, the ONLY thing Chromie Time does, is allow an expansion to scale above its normal level. Let’s say I’m level 50, and am currently playing BFA through Chromie Time. If I go to Legion, all mobs will be level 45. WOD will be 40. MOP will be 35. Cata and earlier will be 30. Now let’s say I talk to Chromie and Switch to MOP. MOP mobs will now scale with me up to level 60. Legion will still say 45. If I switch to Legion, now Legion mobs will scale up to 60, and MOP will go back to 35.
Chromie Time does not affect what quests are available, it only affects level scaling for the expansion you select.

Just wanted to update on 4th ticket on this with game masters. They must be crazy busy, i dont envy them and I thought my 40 years in the logistics industry was hard.
Anyway
1st Game Master sent me to the retrieval item servivce, which I told them in original email with item number and quest item number, is not possible to reobtain.
2nd Game Master, very nice, though told me check my void storage. Which i told them I did, and the banks, and customer service checked as well and noted i should put in a ticket.
3rd Game Master sent me to wowhead to look for tips and they couldnt give away hints to the game. I dont know what would lead to beleive I was looking for a game hint. Very nice person though.
Put in 4th ticket today.
Since you all were so helpful, i just wanted to post an update.
Ugh. So they put you through what we already did here on the CS forum which was to try the self help tools and research it. You did that, confirmed it was missing, confirmed the quest number and item name.

Do make sure to reopen the ticket if you can, if not reference the previous ticket number in the new ticket.
I used the same ticket.

I thought maybe they would read through the previous posts to see what I had done and all the steps taken to try to resolve it before applying the ticket.
At long last it has been resolved and the cloak was given to me by mail today.
