They do not use AI for answering tickets. What MSN article? I just searched and can not find it.

I would link it but the forums do not allow me pasting links. I used Duckduckgo news search.

I wouldn’t trust anything MSN says.

Just don’t. This thread is not about that issue, or any “statement” you want from Blizzard. Please stop derailing threads.

If you want to discuss this mythical article (I can’t find anything on DDG or MSN about it), then start a thread in General.

I found this from April

I found this with Greg Street (Ghostcrawler), who left Blizzard many years ago for Riot, then left Riot recently for his own adventures.
https://www.msn.com/en-ph/entertainment/gaming/former-world-of-warcraft-lead-says-ai-is-fine-for-the-mmo-grunt-work-but-not-the-creative-tasks-that-thousands-of-talented-people-are-dying-to-do/ar-BB1mfN6s

I am not seeing anything with a formal statement from Blizzard that they are using AI to answer tickets.

I am sure they use keyword sorting like pretty much any search/filter/sort on computers, but not AI.

They DO use templates though so they don’t type the same thing hundreds of time. We used to call those “form letters” back when we did them on typewriters

I found one about concept art.

Amazing what you learn when you read more than just a headline.

Also found it on X/Twitter. Seems plenty of people talking about it and no official response on there from Blizzard.

I know it’s out of fashion in today’s world, Yae - but critical thinking is still a thing.

Do you really think if we did that, our queues would be hovering around a week?

That is supposed to be quicker, yes?

I doubt they will give a response. More so when that story linked above is about AI art and blizzard says they do not use AI to make art.

Been said over and over they do not use AI to answer tickets.

Seems you are taking the article out of context Yae.

Stuff like this is like streamers they post lies or misinfirmation to guess what get people to read articles they dont care if its true or not.

So you found people speculating and complaining and conflated that with actual factual information?

I mean, I can find people talking about chemtrails too, but that does not make it real or make it an official statement from airline companies or the Govt.

It is not on the company to respond to conspiracy and lies you know. It is not even worth giving some people the attention they are crying for.

I know it is the latest buzz word, but not everything is [insert conspiracy of the week].

AI and ChatGPT are hot but you can’t apply that to everything you like, or don’t like.

Critical thinking is a thing more people should use instead of jumping onto bandwagons.

Yeah, it is a social media website run by … Elon. Community Notes are not official responses from a company. They are responses from other Twitter users that may or may not happen. They may or may not rank highly enough in the algorithm to be displayed. They are NOT added to most posts. People can speculate and lie all they want and it rarely gets community notes unless it is someone famous or it is a big news story.

People theorizing a game company might use AI for ticket replies is not a big story. The lack of a Community Note is not a “fact check”.

I know! Moar tinfoil!

And when nobody takes the tinfoil hat wearing people seriously with “official statements”, that is apparently a SIGN!

If they had AI for tickets we would not have week long waits on tickets, or longer. Even with keyword sorting and templates they still take forever.

Sometimes I wish they would just try it out for a week - with an AI in-game monitoring bot for chat too. Just to show folks what happens if they do that.

It would not work out well, despite speed.

The ticket system currently is poor and not a good experience, but it has not changed a lot in years.
