The season is not over. They also just nerfed what was going to be most specs’ best embellishment literally 24 hours ago and didn’t give us time to recraft before next season…
ok my mistake, I thought the season was over, then we get a week of lull, then next season starts.
Kind of odd they are resetting flightstones and removing crests a week early then.

Uhh, this reset wasn’t obvious at all.
You can’t expect people to check forums for that information, this is a sure way to create frustration amongs your players.
I would expect at least a warning inside the game about this.
To me, it feels like devaluing the players time and the work they’ve put in the last season. Coming from classic, I’m new to the season system and in no way did I expect this.
It’s all about expectations and preparation and you clearly missed the mark.

They should have been account bound then we could trade them to alts who may just reached lvl 70. It could be used for catch up.

That’s actually hot garbage. Same with crests. Should’ve just let us convert them all instead…(to current ones)ya know like the game you stole the idea from (FFXIV).

The real question is why is this still limited to 2000? Remove the cap on it and we’ll be good.

I asked this in the previous announcement thread, and it went unanswered there too.
Fingers crossed we can still upgrade season 2 items somehow, even if only for appearances as you mentioned, now that the currency has been auto-converted to gray vendor trash and can’t be obtained anymore.
I managed finish unlocking the full 9/9 LFR set appearances for all 13 classes last night thanks to some last minute supplemented pieces from the Dreamsurges and the catalyst, but didn’t have enough Drake crests on all of them to upgrade to 415 (5/8 Veteran) to unlock the Normal color variants.
Hopefully we get an answer on this soon, or else I guess we’ll find out at 3pm when the servers come up and we can see what the upgrade NPCs say when we try to give them some gear.

That’s happening with the new Dreaming crests going forward, not the current (previous? lol) Shadowflame crests.

They decided that it wasn’t worth their time to allow us to do it apparently, same with flightstones. So they just crumpled it up, threw it back in our face and told us to deal with it. Complete and total disrespect of our time.

Not going to lie but this feels kind of bad. Since flightstones themselves can only upgrade the lowest track gear while all other tracks require crest/fragments.
Maybe in the future this shouldn’t be reset?

Keep in mind, this is Blizzard, they don’t want people having an edge on new content gearing out the gate.
Except when they pay extra money for early access, lol (a bit tongue-in-cheek there)
