It is utterly insane that people with 485+ ilevel gear can come into a normal raid and roll Need on gear

I’m one of those people. I want those mogs. You don’t get priority over me nor I you. You’re not special. I have every right to roll need on that gear. I was there for the kill and I want the mog. You’re being selfish imo. Who cares about LFR/normal gear when it comes to character power for one season. My mog is forever!

I pass on gear I don’t need for mog.

You don’t need any item on WOW. This is a virtual game, everything you do on WOW is to waste time. Try to have fun over having expectations or the mind set that your wish for an upgraded item is more important than another player wanting to collect an appearance. In a few months all your gear will be practically worthless, except for the transmog. Try adjusting your perspective.

If the need option is available, I will always roll, I don’t even look at what it is I’m rolling on. I will continue to do so until there are enough LFR tears to force the return of personal loot.

I’m doing my part.

Well, they weren’t able to roll need on the tier they had the mythic version of, or any other items they had the same at a higher ilevel, so sounds like that’s fine.

Sorry but i fail to see how someone who helped kill a boss, does not deserve to roll on something they need. Maybe the higher geared person should have just let them struggle to even kill it at ilvl and thats IF they even kill it while being just barley geared for it.

Is simple if blizzard allows a player to roll need on an item set by their systems then I can and will roll need per blizzard system

But I can get an upgraded item AND the transmog vs. just a transmog…

Maybe the higher geared players should just adjust their perspective to fit mine?

I need flowy cloth robes on my pally. But I can’t do that. Why not?

Yep! I never said you couldn’t. Just that, from what we can infer from Blizzard’s loot rules, this wasn’t intended, and people might think you’re a jerk. That’s the extent of the discussion right there. So there should be no problems. Except if people want to try to influence Blizzard by bringing it up as a topic and discussing it. Which is what we get most days.

I wish blizz would go back to the way they had it

I got plenty of mog pieces when I out geared raids when personal loot was a thing, likely at a higher rate since I was not as restricted, but ok.

I feel where you’re coming from but look - you’re not there to help them be pretty and they’re not there to help you up your ilvl. Guilds and friends do that. Guilds have DKP or similar systems to ensure “you get what you put in” and friends - I’ve seen Invincible and Mim’s Head drop once each and I gave them both to the same friend.

If I help an ad-hoc pug raid progress I get to roll on stuff. Same thing for raidfinder.

Sure, I’m annoyed if someone rolls need for something they don’t need from a gear perspective, but… they were probably semi-carrying the rest anyway.

I generally don’t expect to loot and as a result I don’t get disappointed often.

Thats not how personal loot works but that argument has been had by many. Some of you insist on this rhetoric as if its some sort of truth.

With PL, I could win every item I’m wearing from any level of the raid every week. With GL, I can’t need roll on them. That’s a considerable difference in terms of getting usable loot into people’s hands.

I’ve seen this numerous times in LFR. Ones winning rolls on loot that they don’t even need is frustrating, even more so when they win 2 rolls on a duplicate item…Rolling for xmog, maybe, more likely it’s for their vendor spec.

You know the BIS trinket dropped and they rolled a 1… instant eye twitch.

Amazing, we finally graduated from people making this complaint about LFR to normal. Are we evolving or devolving at this point?

Yeah mate. There definitely is not one of these threads every week now.

Everyone joins to pull the handle on the loot slot machine.

They’re there, they helped, they get to pull the handle.

Complaining about the outcome after the fact is like whelching on a bet.

It’s insane you think geared people exist to carry you to kills and then feed you gear.

Or have 2 rolls 1 for the item and a separate role for the cosmetic.

I think some of do it out of spitt
