How is this topic not spamming when every day someone or multiple people come to the forums because they lost a loot roll to someone else and has to make a thread about it.
I lost many a roll before NBD. Wait your turn youāll get a drop. I just ran the Time Walking raid. I got 4 pieces of gear out of there. I like everyone loots the chest after each boss, maybe you get maybe you donāt. Someone didnāt want some legs and offered them up to anyone who wanted. You know people use for mogs and mats for enchants what ever who cares. I do my role get my stuff here and there and do my own thing.
You are incorrect. Transmog is more important to a lot of us than ilvl. So we will continue to do it. As every player contributes to the boss dying, everyone is entitled to loot.
The only āinfuriatingā part is that people like you think you are more entitled to the loot than other people who contributed the same, or likely more, to the kill than you did. Get some perspective.
When are people supposed to be able to roll for transmog thenā¦
Like I am still waiting for all bfa raids to be soloable and how many years is that?
Welpā¦ join a guild
Having the mythic tier appearance unlock all the lower level ones is the obvious solution. In the gameās current form high item level players will be sniping items from lower item level ones.
Iāve found that asking a person nicely will sometimes work, but other times you get goblins who expect you to pay them.
WoW ācommunityā, if there even is such a thing anymore, is gone. Most people only care about themselves because they are compensating for their real lives. I mean, weāre all still playing WoW. Some do it for fun, and others do it because they have nothing going on outside of the game.
How about transmog > ilvlā¦ Something you can replace quickly in mythic plus. Meanwhile a transmog piece will take years to be soloable if blizzard cares to tune raids to make them soloable by then. Or make the raids replayable so more people get chances at mogs and not let raids become irrelevant until they become soloable.
Well, why would they bother if they couldnāt need on loot? Likely coming for tmogs or a specific trinket.
If thereās an issue about it, either donāt invite high geared, or donāt join a raid with high geared.
High geared help makes runs go faster and smoother, so having them can be a benefit, but then donāt cry when they need on loot.
Invite 485+ to a Normal run and expect them to not get anything from it
So you want to be carried and funneled for free. Interesting.
Rolling to sell is mostly a thing because they opened trading between realms, if you could do the same with personnal loot people would still do it.
Personal Loot: Everyone gets angry at the system for not giving them loot
Roll Loot: Everyone gets angry at each other for not giving them loot
They might be equivalent in the amount of gear people receive, but the frustration feels worse when you see that people who clearly donāt need an item as an upgrade make the conscious decision to roll on that item.
I think bringing need/greed rolls back in raiding was a mistake. With personal loot it wasnāt really something anyone could say was truly unfair because everyone had equal opportunity to roll.
This is still a thing with need/greed but people think that people who they deem unworthy of said loot shouldnāt be rolling.
Not saying I disagree but there is a side effect of a change like that. The downside of that is that it lowers participation in LFR and normal (specifically from higher ilvl players), making those raids harder since you wonāt have more geared people helping to run them.
Not according to Blizzardās GL roll definitions.
Otherwise str classes would be able to roll Need on agi weapons they can equip.
(Note that I was just providing a snarky response above as others have done, I donāt truly think itās a great option)
Kick them if youāre not interested in having them in the group.
Why canāt everyone just accept that everyone there who helped kill the boss has a right to roll, and if you donāt win this time, maybe you will next time? Is that such a hard concept?
Nobody has āmoreā right to the loot than anyone else who was there for the kill.
So why canāt I, as a paladin, roll on cloth?
Forget the transmog needs. That is not important. Rememberā¦ you could always farm for the transmogs later down the road when DF is not the recent expansion. Upgrades should only go to the player that needs it. Thereās got to be a better what to ensure they get it.
See thereās your problem. Your idea of upgrades is YOUR idea, not mine. My idea of an upgrade is a new transmog. You need to not assume that your definition is the same as everyone elseās. Because itās not.
Blizz has the rules there because of that exact fact, so you need to accept it. Or form your own raid, and only invite low ilevel people who can upgrade by YOUR definitiion.
But you probably wonāt. Itās easier to come here and complain.
