It is time to give us hard dungeons that have nothing to do with time

Increasing HP and punishing you for not meeting a certain time is not fun.

Mythic+ is hard and it cant be fast. Just pretend that there’s no timer. FYI, the vault is very generous as it rewards us even without timing it. So forget the timer. Just play it as is. It’s been like this to me since Season 1 and I am getting high ilevel loots without even timing it.

Like recently, my PuG group was a wipefest before even reaching the first boss. I know we wont time it so I just relaxed and go with the flow… dont care of the tank’s route… dont care when to use the covenant buff of the dungeon… dont care if the tank pull too much mobs… as in dont care. Of course, timer is over even before we reach the last Boss. No issue… just kill the last Boss and gg. But I will have that ilevel 246 loot (from M+12) on vault next week.

On my Mythic+ runs, most of the time is one group at a time. It’s slower which is fine to me. But as long as there are no deaths, we could still time it. And I have time it few times with low pulls. But there are PuGs which are powerful who can handle big groups of trash. I am okay with it if the group can handle it. What I dont like is a Tank who keeps on pulling multiple groups and he is the first one to die fast so easily while the mobs still have too much health left.

And another thing I dont like… like the one yesterday. The Tank made a big pull. I know the group is geared but the thing is… tons of orbs popped out simultaneously (Explosive Week) . We can handle the pack if there are no orbs. Of course, it caused a wipe. And each death caused timer penalties and we have to run back adding to the delay. But of course since I pug, I expect these to happen everyday. It’s all good. When the group wipes, I just throw my Aspect of the Turtle and feign death. I usually dont die on such expected wipes. But slower pace with one group of mob at a time is fine to me.

Mythic+ has no time limit if you dont care for the key. Like the PuG run I just did a while ago. Wipefest at the start before the first boss. I know we wont time it. BUt luckily, nobody left even the guy who has the KSM mount from last season. We still completed the dungeon. But I will get that ilevel 246 on Vault next week. WHen I get enough ilevel 246 loots, I would climb to Mythic+14 and repeat until I reach M+15s. Dont care on the timer. But I would do my best not to die… so I wont contribute to timer penalties. I have ElitistHelper installed. And I am improving so far.

Sounds like you need to get into raiding.

Fake post. But you can fix it if everywhere you said “We” you change it to “I”… then it’s all yours and not you falsely projecting your opinion as the majority.

Personally I wouldn’t mind 3-5 dungeons per expansion like Tazavesh while not taking anything away from M+, but that’s probably too much for the team to handle. If I had to choose (because they can’t do both), I’d favor M+ and ask for more balanced variety in weekly affixes and more interesting seasonal affixes that are impactful like Prideful while not screwing the whole run if you butt-pull one extra mob–the route should never be that punishingly exact to succeed.

To find ways to skip them

To be fodder for a completion percentage if you choose to use them :man_shrugging:

Anything else someone can think of other than ‘kill all mobs’.

Also was going to say this :+1:

Just go slow and work your way up to +30 lol

I always thought M+ shouldn’t solely be about timing a key. After all old school dungeon running worked for both speedrunners and the completionists. You always at least had a choice of how to run your dungeons

It would be nice if they added other elements to test your group. Perhaps certain skippable mini-bosses seeded throughout the map for those who want to go the full competition route and skip the timer.

Wouldn’t effect their esports either since speed running would also be meta for top tier players anyway and the particular mobs would be skippable.

Same thing happens in pug raids it’s a pug problem not a timer problem.

Link 'em. Please.

Like I said, it’s happened before but this just further pushes the problem.

Nobody uses CC in classic.

In TBC it gets used in a few heroics if you aren’t running a prot Paladin.

Nobody saw that as a problem in vanilla. Usually took a little less than 2 hours. And you didn’t have people leaving until maybe 4-5 wipes. It was a lot of fun, socially engaging, chill mode, and the loot was meaningful too.

Quite simple, really. by looking at the popularity of keys above 15. We have no concrete incentive to run anything above a 15. But low and behold, those keys are extremely popular.

Why is it so monumentally difficult for players to wake up to the fact that not everyone playing this game is like them. I used to struggle with it when it came to raid. I’ll admit it. But eventually I just accepted that a great percentage of players enjoy raid.

The uber casual, beta male player does not make up the majority of the playerbase. theres many of you guys, but you aren’t the majority. just like I’m not the majority. but I’m close enough to the majority that the game is still enjoyable for me.

Play something else. You would love ff14. theres no vetting. No responsibility, you can get carried through all the content. Lots of questing.

Nobody wants hard dungeons. They just want easy rewards.

The problem with this, is it’s hard for about a week, then you outgear it and they become the easiest content in the game and completely irrelevant. I do agree with you, heroic dungeons right after Cata launch were terrific pre-nerf, but M+ keeps dungeons relevant for the whole expansion, not just a few weeks.
