It is time to give the Alliance actual playable High Elves!

I just remember hiding in Irondeep mine to get the mount. A true hero of the Alliance! So I’ll go with probably.

I look at it of just, trying to continue compromising off the idea instead of giving us the originals. Like, I am grateful for the customisations, but the one thing I am not grateful for is the lack of lore. If there could be some official lore maybe add that makes sense and can continue the High Elven story through the Void Elves, depending on how the story goes, then I could be satisfied.

I would love this so much

This. So much this. I would also very very much like to hear about the life of the High elves who remained with the Alliance even after the devastative attack of the Scourge in Quel’Thalas. Wowpedia says some of them directed themselves towards worshipping the Light as well. And I want to see Vereesa combining her forces with Alleria and building a new High elf capital.

I think that they need to just make High Elves and make them into a third faction and always be locked in pvp so we can all just kill them over and over.

Ruined Void Elves’ identity.

Ruined Blood Elves’ uniqueness.

But it’s not enough.

It’s never enough.

This is your fault Blizzard.

It’s sad really. There is ways to still get the high elf story without high elves. (half elves)

And they already have what they need for the rp, sad that is not enough.

Are ya serious? The Blood elves have their own unique culture and history thanks to Blizzard forming their story both in WIII with Kael’Thas and in TBC, along with a glorious city to accompany it.

On the contrary, this whole Void elf story was pulled completely out of the blue with no sufficient lore and explanation as to how the Void elves are expanding their ranks. While it would appear that High elves and Blood elves are joining them alike, it is not officially stated so in-game. Are those who are joining them going to infuse themselves with Void energy as well? If so, how? How do they ensure their safety from failed experiments going forward? Do all the Blood elves who join them do so because they are only interested in the Void, or are there some Alliance sympathizers between them who may be more interested in the ways of the Light rather than forcing it through an enslaved Naaru? Ofc it would be lore-breaking for the Blood elves who join the Alliance to go back to calling themselves High elves, they did after all re-name themselves in favor and honor of their fallen.

What we are interested in knowing is how these High elves who remained with the Alliance and did not follow Kael’Thas have fared, and how they will act going forward now that some blood elves are joining the Void elf ranks and the Alliance. As well as whether all Blood elves who join the Alliance do so just because they want to explore the possibilities of the Void.

She is not wrong.

It ruined void elves identity of being a void currupted people whom had to pay with their appearances and mentality for their powers.

Blood elves lost their unique appearance from being a natural looking people who are the same people that came from high elves but changed their name to honor the fallen.

People have the right to be upset at this. This is espaicailly true with;

Is shared by both void elves and blood elves since void elves directly inherits that story and culture since they where blood elves before they became void elves. and with your;

Is false, they inherited all of the blood elf lore due to where they came from, espaicially since it’s derived from the part of the blood elf persona of wanting to control magic and gain power no matter the cost. The void elf story is a continuation of that aspect that went wrong.

There is still no lore other then npc’s standing in telogrus stating high elves is joining void elves, on top of that in is ambiguos on which group of high elves is joining, it could be the ones in ratchet that aligns themselves to the horde, or dalaran high elves (not to confuse them as SC) that did not have the same problems that blood elves did.

Umbric and other void elves did not want others to go through what they went through, the only thing you have on this is baised on Danusar’s none-answer.

in other words they are not actively trying to make more void elves.

They are there to study a magic source like any other, it’s what blood elves do.

This is debatable, although the BE story made it clear they Mind controlled the population to make them accept the horde.

This ended long before the void elf story, blood elves no longer need a naaru to suck on for light energies, they get it through either faith (not common) or directly from the sunwell.

Valleria.

And she didn’t stop calling herself a blood elf.

This can be done without another race directly tied to the thallasian model.

Ya know… half elves…

Blizz should have done this from day 1, rather than pulling Void Elves from there backsides. They thought it would satisfy the High Elf community, it didn’t, now they are in a situation where it would be difficult to add actual High Elves. Blizz really shot themselves in the foot with this whole mess and I don’t feel the least bit sorry for them.

Heh, as bad as it is, it does leave something open that would otherwise wouldn’t make sense.

They can add in a half breed race to cover what’s left, like half elves and create a unique model for them.

Or model toggle LFD to include other races (including high elves) as a proper army of the light.

No, it is never enough because it is the turn of the allied races to receive their new customizations, the next ones will surely be the void elves.

On the EU forum in a void elf thread, a CM asks us to continue to make our requests and to put examples to illustrate them.

The requests of the players are varied (void and high elf options).

… void elves had it’s pass… we gotten high elf colors.

Tenticle toggle also.

They have not received their real new personalizations (hairstyles, beards, jewelry, tattoo ect …).

Yes because void elves now have 2 race themes.

It also would not be fair or right to other races if we gotten a 3rd pass.

They don’t have a 2nd theme, the void elves are thalassian elves, blood elves, high elves.

yes they do, denying it is just lying to yourself.

They have the void elf theme and the high elf theme.

And no, void elves via story is not high elves, the theme is there for RP purposes.

They are blood elves therefore high elves.

void transformed into another state of being blood elves is the currect statement, thus no longer making them either.

You can make a void elf like Alleria with the BE customizations.

The player has more freedom.
