this is the most annoying part of it all lol. valorstone caps and glyphs are just the new borrowed power mechanic like how artifact power was in legion.
Except you quickly cap out on both. They’re short-term grinds, and given the weekly cap on crests, it’s barely a grind at all.
Compared to AP, which was limitless except for the 1 patch in Legion where it was capped.
it’s called break time. Happens every season for years now.
I haven’t even logged in this week.
I’m sorry you feel this way. It’s rather unfortunate, but I feel you. I hope you find a game that suits you well.
if you want to be pedantic about it yeah there is hard caps for valor and crests.
borrowed power wasnt any differen’t because while yes, technically u could farm “forever” you still had soft caps. you got tiny, meager amounts after the big initial gain from whatever weekly/dailies were available. no different then how valor and crests work now. if anything valor and crests are far more restrictive. ironic we’ve regressed.
It takes what, 10 minutes to gear an alt for all end game content and make it easy enough to fall over now? How is that too much time required?
You literally just go to the siren isle and buy your gear and you’re fit for fight for both +2 and LFR. If this is a cry about infinitely scaling content (m+) eventually becoming challening then I don’t know what to tell you. Play at your skill level? Why does it matter if you’re not good enough to run 10s, there’s still 2s with the same mechanics in them.
Such a weird thing to whine about when there’s easier levels of the same content available for you to play.
Same here marks of honor farming.
So, any game that requires any type of gear, grind or currency… isn’t for you?
Well snap. I feel personally attacked!
Around 620ilvl is basically my max cap. But that’s because I don’t raid or m+. I do delves but delves don’t really allow you to get past 620ilvl due to the fact that the gilded crest drop rate is too low.
I need to do more dungeons, but leveling 80s , I must have done the rookery 20 times and I had 1 trinket drop for my shaman .
The dungeons might just be a little stingy for an 80$ six month sub.
I’ve been saying for years that M+ was a terrible addition to the game.
If you want a competitive game, go play a Moba or FPS, or play a full loot pvp MMO like Albion or Eve.
Gold please
Same, i use wow as an escape from RL, and not a second career.
If devs wanted to design the game to be fun, they wouldn’t have nurfed the XP, currency, ilvl and scaling of TWW.
If devs wanted to design the game to be fun, they would have kept the OG prof style instead of adding mobile game crafting.
If devs wanted to design the game to be fun, they would have kept the tank/healer satchels that had mounts, pets, flasks, potions, runes.
If devs wanted to design the game to be fun, they wouldn’t have nurfed tanks and healers.
If devs wanted to design the game to be fun, they wouldn’t have nurfed stops/interrupts.
If devs wanted to design the game to be fun, they wouldn’t have made teeny-tiny mini-boss areas that have a 75% extra add/mob pull rate in Dawnbreaker.
Etc, etc
Blizz obviously hasn’t being hiring people who design programs to be fun for the last 6+ years. I wonder what their motivation for iterating on this SaaS is? hmmm, HRMMM
They are trying to extend player’s time in the game. Retail WoW shaved off all the rough edges over the years for the sake of catering to Dad gamers that have 9 kids and 3 jobs, but that design bit them in the butt.
Players are blowing through all the content in a few hours, so they had to create all these systems that use scaling to keep players running on the hamster wheel.
I’d rather the game have slower progression, and have the base difficulties have some teeth, kind of like how operated in the past.
Most players don’t care about M+ and harder raids, so Blizzard has been trying to create systems to keep them playing, instead of just fixing the bigger issue that the pace of everything is too fast, and the base difficulty is just way too easy.
I love member berries
Member when wow was fun for casual players?
I member…
Or the many MANY players that enjoy alts.
Classic is waiting for you.
Peace out man! Or Orc.
Bye!
Ma’am this is a Wendy’s drive thru…
It’s not fun when you go to do some casual PVP and every game you just get stomped by a bunch of gear bullies in a premade. Then if you do get on a good team, you just farm the graveyard and the game ends in 5 minutes. lol. I have quit too
