Bye? Were you looking for sympathy or something?
Never want to see someone quit, but it seems a lot of your problems stem from worrying about things that don’t really matter. I know that the game can feel grindy when you try to do all the things to get all the things and then you work hard and you don’t get any of the things. There are fixes but then other people would not like them either.
The only advice I can give is – play to have fun and if you get cool rewards along the way then those are just nice things. If you aren’t having fun in the game just playing it then nothing, not even the cool rewards, will make it fun for you. They will just be a temporary band-aid.
Sosari tsundere arc.

I don’t understand any of this, or how it fits into my collect-all-the-pets-and-mounts-of-past-expansions meta.
That is a surprisingly resilient meta. I’ve finally started doing more event stuff now and it’s pretty fun. I just ate 5 foods in front of a panda for a daily… let’s go!
I jumped off that treadmill in SL. I have been happy ever since. Excited to see 11.1.
Yet you made 9,000 posts about M+ in the span of 7 months.
what gear hills lol. you’ll be 620 within one week if you’re trying.
This is so going in my GIF collection.
This is an MMORPG, what do you expect?
Why bother though? The way I see it is – have fun with the game for the sake of having fun. If you make it into a job you are gonna burn out. I know it is easy but I just don’t see the need, unless you are trying to run mythic+ on all your characters. Otherwise you are treating the game like some sort of weird loot slot machine.
Darn you! I was going to ask.
620 isn’t even making it to base camp at the bottom of the hill. That’s less than 24 hours played at 80. The real climb starts the moment you start needing gilded crests. They’ve shortened it some for alts (it’s still crazy long), but there is still no real catchup if you’re behind on gilded crests for folks joining late season. I’ve done it twice now along with a couple at 620ish. I get the complaint they’re making because it’s still true honestly provided you don’t mythic raid.
The other part the gear climb is the one you can’t get past – if you join later in the season or play an alt later in the season you can do nothing about vaults. They’re RNG to begin with, and you can’t “catch” those up. So you hit a weekly wall eventually when you’re doing 8 dungeons for a potential upgrade if you’re an m+/heroic raider.
All forms of characters need an awful lot of crests to finish things off, and the mythic raiders as well as everyone else get forced into keys ultimately to grind those off.

this is completely ignoring that anything past 620 is really just luxury tbh especially with raid buff, you can clear both heroic and 10s easily with 620. you don’t need a second main.
Depends on what your goals are I guess. You don’t need any gear at all – you could just login and do content for cosmetics that involves legacy buffs. It is an rpg though, and I get why someone would want to increase the power of their character. It is quite a bit of fun to go back and smash those 10s with 637-640 ilvl. It starts to feel closer to m+ from legion/bfa.
Comp Stomp all week!
Gee, maybe you could talk blizzard into hiring you to be the official censor, so they can pretend that everybody is deliriously happy with everything about the game.
