Issues with submitting a support ticket

Hello,

I was wondering if I could get some assistance with submitting a ticket. I keep getting the error message:

You can’t submit this ticket. You already have the maximum number of active tickets.

It looks like I have two tickets in processing from 8 months ago: US96079358 and US96079329.

I appealed these requests with this archived ticket: US96331187, but I guess the original tickets were never marked as resolved, leading to me not being able to open any new ones?

I am unable to mark them as resolved myself so any help would be appreciated!

Blizzard can help you with this on the forum, since you mentioned the unresolvable ticket numbers already they will swing by when they got some free time.

Thank you, Darthwraith!

The ticket I was submitting was a bit of a hail mary… I accidentally deleted my main character, Valenor. He is already part of my Warband as I deleted him after the Warband update, so I was submitting a ticket to see if there was any way to restore him before the pre-expansion…

This happened a couple of weeks ago, but I was hoping the character restoration service would be back up earlier… Now I’m worried I won’t get to play the new expansion for a while.

Right so GMs tend to be hands off on the restorations while the system down till the developers bring it up which id hope would be before the launch. Even if u get a ticket in theres a extremly small chance a GM will be able to help ive only seen 5 or less people actualy able to get there toon restored.

You can still try tho! No harm in asking in this one.

Im not saying not to but just wanted to set the bar.

As far as we can tell, the official answer is “No, but also yes.”

Generally GMs can’t do character restoration if the developers shut down the self-service, for the stated reason that the devs shut down the service to protect the game from some kinds of side effects (for instance, triggering further bugs in the Warband system).

But some players are reporting that GMs can do (and are doing) some character restorations. So a ticket would seem to be justified.

Yeah I was digging around and saw the same… I’m not super hopeful, but I figured I might as well try to submit a ticket and see how it goes. I was thinking that already having the Warband update on that character and paying for the epic edition could play to my favor.

Once again to set the bar it doesnt matter if ur a epic edition holder or a 20yr player every player is treated the same.

Right.

But issue standing in the way is that you have the identified tickets outstanding (although marked “Resolved”) and it keeps you from submitting the new ticket.

It seems you’ve been reading along in the CS forum and saw another player asking to get old tickets cleared so they could submit a new one. I believe the SFAs can help make that happen.

Of course! Meant that more in reference to being able to play the pre-expansion. I don’t have any other characters on my account so I’m a sitting duck until I get at least one of them restored haha. Thanks for your guidance though, Darth!

Fair enough just bare in mind early release is gona be late in the day 3pm and theres more then likely gona be a log in que for the who knows how may people getting early access.

Haha yeah I’ve learned not to take launch days off work the hard way.

Is there any harm to letting my post go down on the forums? I’m not on here often and I don’t want to unnecessarily bump.

They are still working on the character undelete system, Valenor.

Until that is brought back up, usually not anything a GM can do at the moment.

Understandable. Is there anything I can do regarding the tickets stuck on my account?

Those can be cleared, yes. They pretty much have to be cleared manually on our side, in fact. Lemme see what we can do

How about doing us all a giant favor and asking the dev team to halt the database deletion process for deleted characters so none of us are screwed over by this by having a character permanently zapped? It baffles me that they disabled this feature, but allowed the database of deleted characters to continue to be purged… The chars I wanted to restore were deleted at around the time of 70 days remaining in mop remix, if this goes on any longer those characters are gone forever because some of them were not high enough level to be saved from the database purge. I didn’t realize at the time what warbands meant, and now their currencies, bank items and other things I would have liked to transfer to my main are going to disappear.

I don’t think its unreasonable to ask for the database purge to be halted for the duration of this feature being down, in fact I think its prudent and obvious. Please consider this. Especially considering the factor of multiple deleted characters needing restoration… There is a 7 day cooldown on the feature, which adds a ridiculous buffer time to me restoring my characters on top of waiting for the feature to be brought back… I realize that you probably don’t care about this at all, but I beg of you to consider what I’m saying. Customer support is automated replies, outright refusals to cooperate or they simply ignore anything that isn’t directly related to their service guidelines… Me suggesting in a ticket the idea of halting the purge is quite literally ignored, so I’m reaching out to you since your a human who has posted on the forum.

Gonna be straight to the point: The blues here ain’t going to talk to another department about a system that’s meant to help keep the server stable from bloat. The devs are going to be busy trying to fix whatever the issue with the delete system for the sake of any issues.

I’m aware of this, im mostly reaching out on a limb as a last resort. I’ve already come to the conclusion im going to lose those characters and anything on them…
