Yeah I recall WoD I had multiples of everything, minus lock it was the one class I never really played outside vanilla

The saving grace of S4 BFA was once you HAD the gear (after they made it so you can actually get it from vendors not a giga long cringe grind), it was very fun. This is from a healer perspective though, and I only did 2s back then, from memory the healer balance was very good in BFA S4.
The only negative things I remember aside from the initial moronic corruption grind was that Destro Locks were completely broken and miserable to play against, so naturally they were in most matches towards the end of the season.
I didn’t PVP in MoP or WoD, I pretty much exclusively ran challenge modes. I absolutely loved class design/combat in both, especially WoD. So many unique mechanics and they really nailed “class fantasy”. Its a shame the rest of the game was a dud because I really think that was the best combat the game ever had, at least in PVE.
I have played since OG Vanilla and am finding this expansion to be the closest to absolute viability for almost every class/spec. There a few outliers that are not doing so hot but for the most part can grab just about any class/spec and do well.
There will always be “meta” specs for top tier slots.
The MMR deflation was artificially created and was really annoying, other than that been enjoying Rated and Non-Rated PvP on all of my characters.
IMO for worst expansion for PvP was either Cata or SL. BFA final season was discusting, the first half was good though.

Df and TWW are the best because of shuffle. If some of the older xpacs had shuffle they might compete, but you were basically stuck in lfg hell unless you we’re a duelist+ players. It was SUPER elitist back then. You literally couldn’t play the game
The last season of SL was a lot of fun, when you finally had access to all covenants, Torghast was optional and actually fun, M+ was great.
Blizzard adopted a model that they just repeat in every expansion, Season 1 is a miserable grind, then by Season 4 all the grind is removed and game is fun again. If you want to enjoy retail WoW, play the first month or 2 of expansion, then the last Season before the next expansion. Everything in between is garbage designed to waste your time and make you miserable.
They’ve repeated this model every expansion since Legion lol.
What was stopping you from qing with other people of your skill level who felt the same?

You can remind yourself by starting on a Fresh classic server coming up, all that tastee Vanilla ‘balance’.

TWW is closer to best than worst if you lined them up, I’d think.
I would say SL was the worst, personally. BFA honorable mention, but I think that’s largely in part to the constant PvE in order to get PvP gear. But s4 was during covid lockdown so I did the PvE. Damp meta was dumb, but the response to it in SL was way worse I thought.
Participation and broken classes seem to be a problem every expansion, and season for that matter. It’s largely because there’s no reason to queue until Blizzard announces the season is ending.
Because it’s a waste of time sifting through lfg when shuffle has the mm for you
I knew you’d be the one to come try to defend the archaic 3s as a gatekeeper yourself. Probably never even played lfg 3s and just played with players off your btag for entire expansions at a time so don’t judge
Nope, in WoD I pugged constantly on 3 different warriors up to 2500+.
Legion I pugged all the time on anything from my hpal-hpriest especially on weekends while enjoying a beer.
Nobody was stopping you but yourself; stop blaming others for your bad play.

You did not solo post groups in lfg up to 2500+ with random people every session. You + a healer mightve found a 3rd a few times. Congrats i guess? Whatever you say though, I don’t have to validate myself to you anyway

I met a lot of healers & dps in WoD especially.
Legion I pugged everything from warrior-lock as well as healers.
You were your own worst enemy, oh well is right.

Na, it’s pretty good. Gearing was easy and besides a couple balancing issues it’s good.
