Is There Concrete Evidence That Light And Void Actually Causes Someone To Die In An Explosion Of Fel?

People not going full orange lantern would be awesome.

No they are full void, they only was spared their mortal forms from the ritual.

I heard they will be an AR, although I’m more of a fan of model toggles for races (or factions really) That supports the concept like forsaken or army of the light.

well, they did say they were trying to give more classes to various races but some combos wouldnt work. obviously mechagnomes couldnt be druids but they could approximate then in a sort of mechanical way using arcane magics instead of nature and maybe via a tinker class instead of druid. void elves couldnt be paladins but they could be void-adins. dwarfs likely couldnt be demon hunters but maybe they could get an approximation via dwarf tinker. i mean otherwise you’re advocating for more than half the races in the game not having access to as many classes as you do as a belf.

I mean they’re apparently going to make every class available for every race.

Class skins is the only way to do that without completely throwing class and racial identity in the trash.

I’ve been thinking about this. The Allied races thing is a good idea, but it does nothing to help people that are already heavily invested in a race class identity. So, assuming we do get a new allied race of Lightforged Forsaken (as an example), well, that doesn’t do anything for me as a normal Forsaken. Same thing goes for San’layn or Dark Ranger.

So, what are my options? I ditch this character and start a new character just so that I can have slightly different cosmetic options?

OK… I had a legit COL. (chuckle out loud)

Thank you for that.

I mean, race changes are a thing. You can even buy them with gold! (via tokens)

Yeah, that is true. But, I’m starting to wonder if it’d just be better to give the base races more options so they can do what ever RP things they like.

In a perfect world, they should do both.

Although in the case of Lightforged Forsaken I do agree they should be a cosmetic option for the existing walkie deadies.

Your the first forsaken to be ok with this idea I seen.

That seems to be the issue. I honestly think model toggles is a better solution, with it they don’t even have to balance new racials too.

It depends really. I still think bronzebeard/wildhammer should be seperate but when it comes down to say LFD and forsaken, it seems like a missed opportunity to add things like undead dwarves or lightforged humans and others.

In the case of dark rangers, they are canonically forsaken for example, as such they should had been forsaken model toggles.

it takes a naaru and 2 powerful priests to do that, and a will to overpower the lights will.

That is a one off. And should never again happen.

I am not OK with it… well, I’m generally ok any changes in game as long as they are set up properly and this would take a lot of work to set up.

It’s like the people that want void paladins. I’m fully willing to support the idea, but I need it to be backed up in game with a quest chain and a mile of justifications, because that’s also a lot of work.

yeah, I’m kind of torn myself. I’m starting to get to the point where I think that more options should just be thrown into the game. Let people have their fun and if people like me get irked, then so be it.

It’s like the new-ish eye color options we got. I was actually opposed to the idea of the Forsaken getting different eye glows without it being set up in game, but now I happily use those options.

So rather than accept it, you high elf for alliance fans are demanding they cater to you more than they already have by making a whole new system and a whole new set of assets. And we all know you and your buddies will just start demanding a glyph.

Meanwhile Blood Elves got an incomplete customization pass while you people have gotten two and are demanding a third. I think it’s time to let others have a turn. If not us then gnomes or pandaren or someone else who got jack as well.

i dont have a problem with belfs getting a pass first, or any other race for that matter. i’m just responding to
blizz’s comment that they are gonna try to give all races access to most classes.

They need to get over it. They’re Void Elves.

Being Forsaken and being part of the Forsken order are two different things.

They didn’t suddenly forfet how to be fighters.

The ones I refuted.

Nope. It redundant.

So are you and you’re the one who is wrong.

This, Void Knights, genius.

Tell me you know nothing about the Void and Velfs without telling me you know nothing.

Wrong.

Nothing gets retconned. You haven’t given one example.

So a Void Knight.

Open up your mind.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

PALADINS ARE NOT INFUSED WITH LIGHT READ THE FACTUAL LORE.

A piss poor one.

I’ve never met anybody who’s so determined to be so consistently wrong.
This is why we burnt down your tree and nobody feels bad about it.

I mean, is this the entire purpose of the Anti High Elf community? To come to the forums, to deny others there request, but then cry about not receiving anything yourself? Too busy spending time arguing in a toxic manner, yet, don’t spend a lot of time requesting for what you guys want?

And also, Requesting =/= Demanding!

No, they are seperate, there have been numerous free willed undead over the games expansions that refuses to affiliate with the forsaken. Use the term “forsaken” as a race name for them is a disservice to all those charecters.

Fighters that use a different magic isn’t being a paladin. Is Generation 2 death knights now paladins that uses death magic all the sudden?

No you haven’t actually.

No it’s not. Also not my problem. Stop asking to break paladins.

Your head canon is strong.

Which shouldn’t be under the paladin class name genius.

I am correct.

wrong again, I already refuted this and you refused to respond.

New class.

Learn how writing works.

Learn paladin lore. They are infused by the light since inception, this is in the arthas book and in the Uther memories quest in SL.

LEARN YOUR PALADIN LORE!

That is rich, coming from you, considering you actually linked no sources to back up your claims over “Paladins being infused”…

I’ll just repost it here for real sources of Paladins not being infused with the light:

Of Blood and Honor (Chapter 2):

  1. “Archbishop: In the Light, we gather to empower our brother. In its grace, he will be made anew. In its power, he shall educate the masses. In its strength, he shall combat the shadow. And, in its wisdom, he shall lead his brethren to the eternal rewards of paradise.”
  2. “Archbishop: Clerics of the Northshire, if you deem this man worthy, place your blessings upon him.
One of the clerics comes with a blessed dark blue embroidered stole in his hands, which he placed reverently around Tirion’s neck. Then, he dipped his thumb in a small vial of sacred oil and anointed Tirion’s forehead.”
  3. “Archbishop: Knights of the Silver Hand, if you deem this man worthy, place your blessings upon him.
Two of the armored men comes, the first laid the warhammer before Tirion’s feet. The second, Saidan Dathrohan, placed the silver plates upon Tirion’s shoulders.”
  4. “Each of the clerics and knights raised their right hands and pointed toward Tirion, empowered him with the holy light.”

Arthas: Rise of the Lich King (Part 1: Chapter 5):

  1. “In the Light, we gather to empower our brother.”
  2. & 3) are similar to the 2) & 3) from above
  3. “Sweat broke out on Arthas’s brow. What was going wrong? Why wasn’t the Light wrapping itself around him in blessing and benediction?”

The rest of the book makes a point that the light flows through him or he’s channeling it etc. Same as priests.

  1. Chapter 8 … “Maybe if he focused on fighting, on learning how to accept, and channel and direct the Light, he could get the hell over her. Over the girl he himself had broken up with”

Had he been infused, why would he need to learn to accept, channel, and direct the light? Seems like it’d only be directing.

  • This ceremony is exclusive to the Order of the Silver Hand, which not all Paladins are a part of. There is no evidence to support that other Paladin individuals/races/organizations undergo the same process nor is it explicitly mentioned that it’s needed to become a Paladin.
This is just a fact. Silver Hand was originally just Humans and Dwarves.
Draenei became Paladins through the Naaru teaching them about the Light.
High Elves had Paladins through normal worship of the Light, but briefly lost in after most of them renamed to Blood Elves and had to drain it from Naaru. With the Sunwell restored, the Blood Knights returned to embracing the Light like the originally did.
Sunwalkers get the Light from basic worship of An’she, which is just a different form of the Draenei worshipping it through the Naaru and Humans/Dwarves through the Light itself.

The first Human Paladins were literally just Warrior + Priest
Tides of Darkness (Chapter 5)

  1. “I will establish a new branch of the Church, the paladins. I have already selected the first candidates for this order. Some were knights before but others were priests. I chose these men for both their piety and their martial prowess. They will be trained, not only in war but in prayer and in healing. And each of these valient fighters will possess both martial and spiritual power, particularly in blessing themselves and other with the strength of the Holy Light.”

And just so you’re aware there is zero statement about the ORIGINAL paladins of the Church, mentioned above, having gone through the ceremony mentioned twice earlier. This implying that the ceremony was created afterwards, and that again it isn’t necessary for one to be a Paladin.

All races access to most classes, not all classes.

I have a problem with void elves getting a paladin in any form and I’m just responding to your demands which I find unreasonable and mildly offensive. Paladins in Warcraft use holy. That’s a defining trait of a Paladin. They may use it via Anshe, or Elune, or some dinosaur wild god thing, or the Sunwell, but it’s still basically holy. Anything else and it’s no longer a paladin. At all.

And plate wearing not paladin options already exist for void elf players. Two of them exist in fact. Hijacking paladin and destroying lore is not only ridiculous, it’s redundant. Don’t give me the “muh RP” nonsense excuse, you can change your class name with TRP3 and typically RP is done out of combat. Even then imagination exists, if I can play an orcadin as a warrior, I’d expect high elf for alliance RPers to have at least a minimally functioning imagination.

Despite already having options, you want blizzard to throw lore out the window and dedicate a bunch of dev time to design a new system to cater just to high elf for alliance fans just so you can have a fantasy that makes no sense, shatters lore, and infringes upon one of the last things that make Blood Elves and Void Elves different.

All this while high elf for alliance fans are also demanding Silvermoon, and all the other Blood Elf customization options, and that Blood Elves and Void Elves be deleted in favor of a neutral race that caters entirely to you.

Furthermore, what will happen with these fake news !Paladins in Legion or any other time they make a class fantasy expansion? Are these !paladins going to bring their void taint into the paladin class hall? It makes no sense. At all.

I’m pretty tired of nonsense.
