Teach me the way please gawd
It’s just kind of cute to have all your important things in one area, i use it to AFK and look at transmog and farm some old mats.
Not very useful in the grand scheme of things, but not bad to have available.
Its like another city without going to Stormwind and ashran.
Recommend having a bank so you dont lag in a normal city.
Plus if you do the ship yard you can unlock a rare mission to get 2 heirloom rings. And fishing you defintly want if you want a few more mounts. Im currently in a slow progress for those.
Not sure what type of English this is, but I 100% agree with it…I think…making the GArrisons modernized for current patch would be awesome!
Max as many companions as you can, run all the garrison resource missions and buy the herbs from the trader when it’s Pyxni Pennypocket. Also look for the huge ogre cache, mount and legion medallion missions or really any non bop item. Sell everything in the ah. Takes less than 2 minutes a day/garrison. Average just shy of 400g/day from each.
Portals, professions, auction house, holiday themes, pet leveling, even unique music. Also heirloom rings. The garrisons is one of the best features ever and will always be useful. Not to mention it has a faster hearthstone so if allows for quick escapes.
… So half a 2 minute world quest?
You can make some money off of bags, and enchanting ( illusions) it wont ever be one of the best ways to make gold but its passive.
If you make the engineering building, you can basically get a free and endless supply of goblin gliders - as long as you don’t go nuts using them. The mats can be purchased with garrison resources, so you don’t even need to farm them.
And I still like to go there sometimes to do my auctioning because it’s quiet and relaxing there.
Nah Garrisons weren’t the reason that WoD had problems. It was the cut content. Bliz decided to axe two whole cities to save time and money which meant the only place for anything to be and the only place people were going to have to hang out was the Garrison.
If there had actually been at least ONE ACTUAL CITY in the expansion they would have been like Class Halls in Legion. a fun thing to maintain and grow but everyone would still be in Dalaran.
LoTRO has a nice housing setup. You decorate the inside and outside, guild houses are bigger than normal houses and three different neighborhoods (elf, hobbit, dwarf) with different styles.
This time of year some neighborhoods set up trick or treating too, which was nicely coded in my opinion.
One day, I might go back and get the lucky coins I need for the mount.
Some excellent PVP titles from the nemesis quests.
Horde and alliance guard Xmog sets
Can you name one of those sets/pieces? I must be blind, but I can’t find what sets these are.
Truesteel:
Helm
Pauldrons
Breastplate
Armguards
Waistguard
Greaves
Boots
and then Steelforged of the same slots.
For each slot, you apply either an “Impressive” modifier, or a “remarkable” modifier.
So 8 slots, times two variants, times two modifiers = 32 unique xmog.
Extra hearthstone.
Mission table will sometimes drop useful items, like rep rewards and the void satchedl (which I tend to give away to new players for a free heirloom).
Some the professions are good for mogs and having the profession buildings helps there.
Im sure others have said other stuff.
3 Heirloom rings, all 3 are unique equipped only, meaning you can only wear one of the 3 at anytime, but you can always wear the “Fishing Extravaganza” Tournament Ring that is held every Sunday or now that let us finally have another Heirloom Rings when we were doing all the tWW pre patch activities.
It was awful.
A lonely little house that you could decorate… whoopie.
What exactly were you expecting from housing, out of curiosity?
I had neighbors I could interact with and a neighborhood. I had a great friendship with a neighbor where we’d send each other little gifts…
You could also buy crafting tables for your house/yard that you could choose to let others use…
Just curious as to what you’re looking for in housing, not a dig of your opinion.
Something beyond a trinket.
Something functional, useful.
Something that will keep your attention and interest after seeing it a few times.
Something akin to garrisons
