Is the Game Population Dropping Fast?

I’m not telling anyone to believe anything they don’t want to. If you two think it’s meaningless that’s fine, I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind.

Some people don’t think the population is declining fast and some do, here we are with different opinions :man_shrugging:

I stopped playing but I am subbed through like April or something so I find the forums more fun than the game itself.

In this last week I’ve logged in during usual times and peak times and there’s hardly anyone on in my main’s guild. We had about 5 less people than usual in my heroic raid last week, it’s certainly possible that people are dropping out now, which was expected of course, the same thing happened at this point during BfA, Legion, Warlords, and MoP.

No, my guild hasn’t lost anyone. Weve been enjoying M+ and raiding. We will see what happens when we all get our M+ 15 mounts next week though.

I don’t know what the experience was like for anyone else but I actually saw VERY few players whilst leveling on launch day. Maybe it’s me being war mode on an RP realm but I think I saw a total of maybe 15 other players during my 50-60 experience. I think they did and still do have the sharding tuned to right.

There’s a ton of dedicated content - M+, raiding, PvP, Torghast, … tons of anima collectibles.

Not exactly sure what your wanting

Wow… Omg C H A O S. I used to raid with that guild back in LK. Is Abelroch still around? I remember him, bigsticks, morghos, deuteros, omg… pandawan, or how you spell his name. Epicfailguy. LOL You guys were so much fun.

C H A O S left a huge imprint in my memory of WoW. Good memories too. We cleared so much content, old, and new. Very active guild back in the LK era, and was lead by some really nice people. Glad to see that name floating around again.

Pretty much same for me. I haven’t logged in for something like three weeks.

I just don’t care anymore.

Congrats for the title!

I’m close, but I doubt if I’ll ever get there at the rate things are going.

it’s the usual thing, hype for an expansion goes up. loads of returning players, then this massive die off when people realize it’s not what they were promised.

That’s the thing. I really do not think it’s the players here. It’s Blizzard, and the development path they are on. They refuse to realize the systems they love are not being well received. It’s aggravating to say the least. They could easily fix this game, and make it amazing again, but they are pissing around / pissing people off, and refusing to actually solve the problems.

They are milking their player base, and giving us a crappy product.
This is what happens when corporations go off the rails from customers.
We are nothing more than revenue, and our enjoyment is not a primary focus.

I have 2 more pieces to get from broken mirrors for xmog and I’m unsubbing until 9.1. The game is bad and I’m not going to reward the company with money. All the bots can make up from my departure and then sum. I’m sure a good chunk of them are blizzard owned island expedition AI running around to make the world feel alive anyway.

World of Magecraft. The friends that convinced me to come back to the game haven’t been on in over a week. We preferred to casually pvp but did some M+, I had a brewmaster for our group.

Last time we played it just felt like we all should have rolled mages and drew straws to see who would be the hpal. Got time on my sub but i never have it set to auto renew, more often than not i ask myself why i am even playing when i do play because i’m not a mage and i prefer BGs.

Usual routine on warlock: Que a couple BGs, die to mages combusting in a few seconds, die to mages combusting and standing still the entire time, almost kill a mage to have them block/triune/cheat death turn around and combust on me, have my 2 minute CD max level talent that is 1/5 as strong as combust stolen from me by mages, log out.

SL is quite a good game, a huge upgrade from BFA, not sure why people are still complaining at the speed of light.

not how it works. Those aren’t showing the actual server population same as it is on classic. They show numbers of players, even players that havent been on in a long time. If it was up to date and showed actual population they would more then likely be low low low low medium… etc…

There was actually a ton of people P’d OFF because the numbers weren’t accurate during classic launch and months after posts all over classic forums about it.

This isn’t true. Turalyon, my server specifically, quite regularly bounces between medium to low and has since I joined the server in 2006. At one point even hit High during MoP

Those numbers, may change weekly since it was brought up to not be accurate but i doubt it. I Have seen RP servers move around on say tuesday’s … then drop back down. I cant remember the exact problem with it , i think it was something about peak time only… like it only showed how busy a server was during peak hours. Dont feel like digging but im sure you can find it somewhere and how it works.

Believe whatever you want

Full means nothing, guy. Theyve changed what “full” means numbers wise numerous times since vanilla.

See above post

I dont see anything in that post that states they havent lowered the number of players that constitutes “full” multiple times.
