Is Shadow Lands saved because of the recent multiboxing ban?

With all the tricks these guys have already found, I’m not sure there is going to be much of a different now that the software has been banned.

I love you, its great. this is the player that multiboxers should strive to be. This man isn’t openly admitting on the forums that they’re going to find work arounds for the ban. You guys should really learn from this man. Enjoy your advantages my guy, you are a legitimate player. Much respect!

You are the only one doing this.

Only the the key mirroring software is illegal now. Nothing was said about the use of VM, clever usage of macros, and hardware tricks. People are still going to multibox with a bunch of accounts.

I believe it will reduce the number of casual MBers

First there was wow
Then came hardware multiboxing
Then came software
Then Blizz banned software
Now people are going back to hardware

Going back to something isn’t a work around

and what happens if all migrate to the old hardware? same outcome. but i really doubt it provides the same unhealthy gameplay as the software does. its still a win in my book.

Nothing will happen.

yes its very obvious i was maybe accidentally vague. happens. but, actually it still stands because a side of multiboxing is now a bannable offense :3.

It’s dangerous! talking about multiboxing is akin to talking about politics in trade, it’s not going to be a smooth ride of reason you are going to have passions flaring lol

That didn’t strike me as multiboxers though. Honestly, I never even saw one there. Naj was so busy it was likely just picked over by EVERYONE.

If you’re controlling 20 characters using software emulation, I warn you, it will be much harder now.

You mean that the use of a type of software that enabled multiboxing is an actionable offense. If you were trying for accuracy.

This is me being accurate: I have never owned more than one WoW account. Therefore I have never mboxed. I am not particularly fond of it as a gameplay technique since I think it is not in the spirit of the game. However, mboxing itself is NOT an offense in line with Blizzrd’s policy statements.

One can hold an opinion on it as a game behaviour and that’s fine, we all have opinions. But disagreeing with you does not make all of us mboxers and it does not mean we think it’s a good thing to do. We are just disagreeing with you. It’s what a discussion is all about.

Just use hardware now.

I agree with the changes that Blizzard have implemented. It may not get rid of all of the people that choose to bot, but it makes it easier for them to ban accounts that are found to use software that replicates keystrokes. They no longer have to worry about differentiating between a multi-boxer and someone that is botting.

these changes aren’t going to stop multi-boxing on a grand scale. It will definitely slow down the casual multi-boxer, but for people like me that never played it on a huge scale, it’s still going to be perfectly fine for using several accounts at once to pick herbs and farm some ores. I mean, I have three-person mounts, two-person mounts, it’s pretty easy to haul around extra users of your own.

Maybe you don’t consider people that alt-TAB between game clients as a form of multi-boxing, but it is still classified as that, but at least no input replicating will be allowed. So of course it’s not done the exact same way anymore.

People will adapt and find workarounds as to where they can multibox without using input replication. It’s definitely possible to do, just more of a hassle.

Well, much more expensive that way. But have at it.

what is the purpose of this post? you cant disagree with a software ban. its against the rules, plain and simple. yes, i was vague, yes honest multiboxers exists such as the DH bro above. but if you took the time to read the posts in here, its quite clear the hate is towards key cloners. and even then, people are defending it. there is no disagreeing with that. you are just flat out being wrong and dense at that point.

  1. Not a multiboxing ban.
  2. That was never a concern of mine. The systems are what will kill it.

OK, it’s time for me to just let you carry on. You obviously have an entirely closed mind and you cherrypick words to make a point that supports your closed opinion. Good luck with that and have a nice day. I’m off to play the game and have a cuppa, its a much more productive use of my time.
