I donāt think its being pedantic, I think itās being accurate. Blizzard was very clear about that in their posts on the subject. They even say in their support site article:
āMultiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our End User License Agreementā
You canāt get much clearer than that. So for people to say that multiboxing has been banned is factually incorrect.

I felt like its strange that i even have to go further than the first post of this thread. Because the program is banned, how people are able to deny it being cheating or arguing against the rules is really strange. Shows just how desperate these cheaters are, you know?
Feel free to elaborate because, unless we have a different definition of multiboxing, itās pretty dead.
Nobody reasonable is calling having more than one account open āmultiboxingā.
We are talking about a bunch of the same class all piled up on each other murdering people in PvP and gathering buckets of materials from nodes. Thatās gone.
Deny what? Multiboxing? 
Something can only be cheating if the game maker says itās cheating. If Blizz were to post right now using dps meters is cheating then itās cheating. People are going to light the forums on fire over it but 
Itās cheating because the game maker says so, uninstall it or get banned.
Multiboxing is not cheating, the input broadcasting software is but multiboxing isnāt.

no one cares about the literal definition. its quite clear that the hate against multiboxers is referring to the nerds who used software cloning to cheat. stop pretending everyone is a moron.
what is strange is that you seem to confuse a ban on software as being the same as a ban on multiboxing. Those are different things. Yes, its going to cut down on a lot of multiboxing, but you will still find multiboxing using a hardware solution that will be totally legit.

That is incorrect. You can express an opinion on whether or not you think X or Y is right or wrong, but donāt expect not to be pulled up when you say something that is factually wrong.

Yup. I attempted to say this and got insulted. 
literally even if every post i made in this thread referred to cheating side of multiboxers, aka multibotters people would say the same thing. which is now against the rules, no one cares about people with multiple accounts that alt-tab. and everyone knows it, but its just mental gymnastics at this point. same posts every time.

Iāve been told alt tab isnāt the only way to multibox and thereās even a video someone posted earlier today of multiboxing without the software and no alt tabbing.
Your blanket statement is factually incorrect. Had you come in here with, ānow that the software is bannedā¦ā that wouldāve been an entirely different discussion.

go read my other 120 posts. i refer to them as multibotters(illegal key cloning software users!) but its the same people that openly admit to multiboxing defending it, aka everyone in this thread. its clearly mental gymnastics and delusion. its quite cringe.
Multiboxing is not against the terms of the EULA. It is absolutely very much allowed and will be allowed for the unforeseeable future.
Iāve multi boxed many, many times without the use of any third-party add-ons or software. I fully intend to multibox for months and years to come. I may not multi-box on a grand scale like I used to, but itās not difficult to farm materials using the /follow command or macro. Alt-ESCāing between game clients is super easy and super fast to do.
In fact, Iāve done most of my farming for materials by using that method and individually clicking on each game client window and manually picking the herb or the ore.
It may not be as time efficient to farm materials as much as it used to be without the aid of third-party programs, but I guarantee you I can still farm more and faster than you can with only one character. I guarantee you that.
