Is Raid logging really that fun?

What’s the point of boosting past 90% of game just to log on for scripted instance runs then logging off after until next weeks run?

They save on consumables is my understanding. But in reality it’s just that getting to 70 (not everyone boosted) and gearing up to Pre Raid and farming to get ready to raid does take time. Once you have done this time you can then play other games, play other characters or spend time doing RL.

All games content is scripted, what a silly thing to say.

Would you like us on 24/7 to also as you say “play scripted content”?

sounds more like a job than a game, kinda sad if ya ask me, instead of retails endless dailies, TBC has become a game of weeklies.

If I play basketball, 3 days a week for 3 hours each time, and schedule it with friends, does that also sound more like a job than a game?

Curious as to what you mean.

Well I had a blast getting to where I am. I just barely touched feet into SSC so going forward I have much to look forward to. I don’t need to be on a ton tho anymore and I like to play other games when not logged in. Many are the same?

You started a thread about RAID LOGGING.

We are discussing pve obviously, this is your topic.

When did we switch to PvP talk? I do some PvP but after my daily and my boxes what’s the point? I mean yea Arena is cool but I’m just not hardcore into that. I might lul my way into a team later tho.

this edgelord is trying to bait you so he can flip the script and say something about how he is cool because he doesn’t schedule to play a game and his gameplay isn’t scripted

I leveled from 1 to 60 in Classic, did Classic, then leveled to 70 in TBC.

Because I’m full P1 bis outside of my belt which is second bis. I am fully exalted. I log on to farm gold or to raid. I don’t find any other class other than Rogue fun. I hate casters, I have no interest in tanking or healing, I don’t like shapeshifting, I don’t want to deal with totems, I don’t want to deal with stances, and I don’t want to deal with blessings or seals.

I know this because I’ve played this game for 14 or something years.

So I’m not going to level an alt, I’ve seen every zones countless times. I have no need for instances, normal or heroic. I have no need for Kara. I only farm gold because I like seeing the number go up, and being able to buy what I need when I need it.

I only find raiding and pvp fun, but I don’t want to pvp all the time, so I go do this thing called playing other games.

It’s great. I really enjoy not being tied and tethered down to wow, and feel like I need to play it. I play it when I want to play it, not because some arbitrary system in the game says I need to log on to maintain my character, like retail.

PvP isn’t scripted which is what keeps me logged on after the raids are done for the week.

Everyone has their own idea of fun. Some enjoy it.

I’m not saying I completely disagree with your statement, but if you play high level arena, the comp vs comp game plan is literally called a script. Often, the better you can execute a good script, the better you do.

Battlegrounds aren’t really important enough for something like this to develop but you would if something like rated battlegrounds existed in TBC.

PVP is slightly more dynamic for sure, but a good player is one that has learned what to do and executes a consistent strategy to beat most classes 1v1.

I don’t tend to raid log but I understand why some people do. My (horde especially) guild is now full of raid loggers and most have busy lives or they play other games in their spare time.

I have like 10 months worth of raid pots for the two characters I raid with from my farming as well as a lot of gold, so I don’t really need to do anything else. My “main PVP character” has every piece of honor gear I can get until S3 so I can cap honor but I don’t have to do that. Then I do the arenas but that’s kind of like raid logging if I only do 10 games (I just do points games on my horde). I do have a couple of alts that I play but I don’t really need to do that either. If I could say what my favorite non-raid thing is to do it’s for sure PVP.

If someone has just one main they raid with only, and if they have all the rep and stuff especially, and they do not PVP I don’t even know what else they’d really be doing. Unless they are just collecting more resources and gold.

I do miss the “Classic days” where I could log in and just chat and mess around with friends or guilides doing whatever most evenings, but it is what it is.

Pvp is actually pretty scripted.

If.you play any high level arena it’s more like a game of cards except you know what deck each class/spec has.

I’ll never get it but I’m old school and MMO’s were never about just doing content for me. It’s always been about the social aspects. It’s one reason I always enjoyed early SWG far more than I ever did WoW, even though I’ve played it 5 times longer and it was a much more well built game.

Once I get to the point of raid logging I just quit. It’s no longer worth the price of admission at that point
