Pvp is part of the broader game.
We want more PvP.
The stats are the way they are because Blizzard has already chased off the pvp population. They arent taking part in these polls lmfao… They are playing better games. Its simple. Fix pvp and then all you gotta do is sit back and count your money as players flock back.
8% of the population has a win on the new battleground. 9% of the population earned 2500 conquest in this season. 5% have finished placement rank in rated PvP. That’s pretty standard, fluctuating from 3 to 5%. The PvP population isn’t there and as far back as achievements track it, it never was there.
Gearing has always been the biggest issue to WoW PVP.
Removing the gearing element entirely from PVP, and watch pvp explode.
Prime example is this stupid ring that now is going to scale to 658 or something.
Now pvpers are forced to get this crap.
Scale all gear in any and all pvp content. Arena on a fresh 80 toon? (Just git good)
Ranked bgs? (Just get good)
Bored of M+ and don’t have pvp gear? (Just get good)
No more honor → conquest → crafted → stat optimization.
Just que up and play on a level playing field.
I don’t personally PVP, but I feel like it’s probably one of the few things that’s actually kept wow on the map as far as e-sports are concerned.
lol @ hating the small player base wow has, over personal preference. keep on bein awesome
I play WoW pvp almost exclusively.
And if someone were to say WoW pvp should be deleted, I would agree.
Or Blizzard could remove bad players from the normal game and move them to sepparate loser client where they would chill with their low scored friends. Sounds like heaven for normal gamers.
PvP is a core part of World of Warcraft and removing it would hurt the game. Here’s why:
- Warcraft is built on conflict – The whole franchise is about war (Orcs vs. Humans, Horde vs. Alliance). PvP reflects that core theme.
- It keeps the game alive – Open-world PvP, duels, and battles make cities and zones feel dynamic and unpredictable. It brings players together and builds community.
- Mythic Plus exists because of PvP – The competitive systems in M+ (like timers, ratings, and leaderboards) came from PvP culture. Removing PvP weakens that competitive spirit. One could make an argument Mythic+ is modern WoWs premiere PvP mode.
- It doesn’t “steal” resources – PvP and PvE balance help each other, and development teams work on both simultaneously.
- A separate client is bad for the community – WoW thrives because PvE, PvP, and roleplayers share the same world. Splitting PvP players off would make the game feel empty.
PvP doesn’t ruin WoW—it makes it better. It keeps the world alive, competitive, and true to Warcraft’s roots.
PvP used to hold WoW back when they did not have a separate gear system. They had to find ways to balance both pvp and pve at the same time. Now pvp has its own balance, now we just need to get them to stop trying to balance the game based in top performers.
What resources? LOL
Sounds to me like you’re someone that doesn’t excel at any part of WoW and need something to complain about.
It also sounds like you can’t figure out how to play your class and you just want to have a group of 4 carry you through Mythics and raids.
The game doesn’t only revolve around the content you enjoy. Stop acting like a know it all OP
You know why no one takes the Warcraft forums seriously? It’s because it’s filled with people like you, who think this game is only about you, when no one cares about what you have to say at the end of the day
Actually lol’d
Wrong. The devs working on PvP are not the same people working on tuning raids, dungeons, delves and open world. Separating PvP from the main game would change nothing in the development of PvE, the PvP stuff would still need a team to maintain it, no it cannot just “run itself”.
Crying PvE baby
Nah, he just pays a subscription for the express purpose of these kinds of bait threads.
Speaking for myself, I detest pvp. For other players enjoying it, I have no problem w/it, to each their own. But being ganked and camped/killed constantly is not my idea of a good time. Although, I’ll admit that some battlegrounds are fun and I do occasionally do them, but very seldom. The unbalanced inexperienced under geared players vs experienced over geared players is the main reason I avoid pvp, throwing them together is a massacre and is a huge turn off for players like myself. There needs to be a system that when queued for pvp content everyone should be basically the same proportion so inexperienced and under geared players have a better learning experience and aren’t turned off by being ganked and camped constantly.
One can only get facerolled in WSG and AV so many times over the years before interest wanes. I think my love for pvp dropped when they gave everyone base resilience and had bgs as a requirement for legos.
MoP is by far my favorite expansion, but pvp took a big hit for me personally around then.
