Then that follow me please addon for non boxing players is against the tos by that logic. Like, blizz stated addons are ok as long as it isn’t a botting macro. addons don’t mirror keystrokes unless it’s consoleport… yeah that’s why it got into hotwater cause it broadcasts keys the other Ema addon is all ingame… no key mirroring but she took it down because people harassed her like crazy. She didn’t find it fun as an addon maker so she said heck with it.
So if someone does have this addon, the EMA, they got it in a way not approved by her, so the license for it may be off.
yeah…thats a funny one. guess it depends on how ‘action’ is defined.
I tend to think of it in combat ‘actions’. anything thats attacking something or someone else.
I have macros just like the one you show, that ‘do’ a list of things, but they arent all ‘actions’ in the sense that they dont all do damage or something or someone.
My version of manual multiboxing is okay - I have two versions of the game running at once and click between the two (no add-ons, macros or outside software). I only do this when I have little one who needs help from a big toon.
What you are talking about… seems dubious (in the eyes of Blizzard) at best.
GnomeSequencer addon + Scroll wheel up/down bound to rotation assist / interact with target.
Spin mouse over all window while scrolling up and down repeatedly. The global cooldown is 1second, you have time to go over each window once and cast a spell with your mouse.
The useful thing about having software broadcast like before was movement, being able to get your minions out of the fire all at once. Its doable with follow but not as good.
She took it down and addons are ok still. TSM is more automated and more akin to MB software than EMA because you load scripts into it… same with console port, which broadcasts keys to a single client. Do those get banned? One got false flagged, but tsm? No… although they added a throttle and upped deposit costs on some items due to it.
So in that sense, it’s allowable to use ANY other addon… except if you’re boxing. You box most addons go out the window? That honestly sounds like a NIGHTMARE for their detection systems. Like, “oh if you detect addon usage and that person owns those accounts you better flag it!” Like… that’s silly. Everyone saw the “streamlining” part and took it as anything that streamlines, which isn’t the case at all. So if it’s an addon that’s bannable in boxing, it should be bannable for everyone else. How about addons that run off scripts or outside data bases? What if someone is using TSM on 3 characters and they mail stuff? Would THAT constitute “streamlining” in that definition?
If blizz doesn’t want an addon that’s widely used they break the addon…
Are you calling the gm I spoke with a liar as well?
“If all the moves are performed by you manually, then there is no issue with that. If you have other characters on follow, but during the fight you manually switch between the windows and manually cast spells - that is ok. Hope that helps!” - GM response (name censored for obvious reasons)
Please go be a troll somewhere else and stop spreading false information that alt tabbing is botting.
