Say what you will but I use Linux and play and game using linux. Honestly runs a lot like windows and once you get it setup you do not need to know anything special to use it.

Anything that mimics keystrokes on another account is, I believe, against TOS.
Now… parking a shaman on autofollow so you can reach over and push “1” on his keyboard to throw an earthshield on you while you level up is perfectly fine, even if it is pretty stupid. Anything else is going to probably maybe eventually someday kinda small-chance get you banned with a delay because of Blizzards extremely poor customer service.
I really don’t understand why people just can’t play the game with only one account. I’ve done it for 16 years. Just because I personally think that this is cheating and despicable doesn’t mean that I’ll flame you for it or even be rude, but IMO that IS blatant cheating.
I use Lutris to run wow as well as final fantasy 14. I also play other games through steam and steam has a lot of support for linux.
When I setup my new PC with windows it lagged so bad it was not even funny. So I tried Linix Mint and that went away. Also not to mention not needed any kind of antivirus program with linux.
Also found another program called crossover that helps me run other windows programs. So far the only game I can not run is destiny 2.
Who cares about bragging rights! Linux looks a lot like windows but for me runs a lot better. Plus with all the stuff about windows 11 is looking a lot better
Really? You mean gaming framerate? I never had that issue, usually if there’s a problem its with a particular game, but windows was never the issue.
I’m not up to date with this kind of stuff, so can I ask why you need to play 5 wow clients at a time? Not being a jerk or sarcastic, just genuinely curious!
Frame rate plus the game would just stop for a couple seconds at a time and very slow to react. But after linux that fixed it self, It runs so clean now and never looked back. Plus everything I want to run so far I have been able too with no issues.
Everything from Quicken, Eve online, Final fantasy. You name it I have been able to get it to work.

My roommate and I used to multibox for RP. The two of us would log on 8 Blood Elf hunters, and have them do silly fun banter while doing target practice in Farstrider Square in Silvermoon. People liked to come around and watch and interact with us. It made the city a little more alive.
Now due to the witch hunt started by streamers and the misinformation floating around we don’t do it anymore because we don’t want to be reported and punished for the crime of making the RP scene more interesting.
Thought they broke that addon? Anywho, if you are into using the software to box, do like a lot of others that used to multibox here have done, and play another game like EQ, or one of the gazillion private servers out there lol. You can multibox to your hearts content, and play for free

Well, Id say when you get to make the rules you can call it anything you want.
While the RULES dont prohibit it AND bliz has a page SAYING its not a violation…it just aint cheating no matter how much some want it to be.
well, the only ones to ‘blame’ will be blizzard staff themeselves for misleading the player base in the matter

With the current rules there is no real way to multibox so many. You have to switch between 5 accounts after each step. Why if you have an addon do any action across all the accounts that would be stream lining and will get you banned. You can not use any kind of key broadcasting.
So there is no way to make this practical any longer.
