The data I’m looking at is the actual week on week keys. So far we have less keys ran overall in S1 TWW vs DF S3, and we are on a downward trend. Raider io compiles this data. If we keep going down every week or two as we have been, we will have less overall keys ran than DF S3 by a wide margin. Its whether or not the current plateau at 1.55 mill keys per week holds, but I don’t believe it will.
As far as DFA goes, the sample size is a bit of a problem I admit looking at that some more. I will concede that. It’s probably good for dragonflight seasons by now, but the current season yes is way too small.
DF S3 is so far ahead right now up until week 8 I don’t think TWW is going to beat it. I’ll eat crow later on that one, but it’s massively ahead right now.
Yeah, I mean we won’t really know until the end. Even still its disingenuous to compare them as apples to apples without acknowledging that DF S3 was logging M+2-10 which are no longer being logged now since it essentially started with M+12 and up. I’m sure there are plenty of players sticking to delves or M0 now.
There’s also the issue of RIO and Blizzard API only logging the top 500 runs per dungeon per server so the very bottom keys on populated servers don’t get counted. Which in a system that starts at previous M+12 could be a lot of uncounted runs.
There’s a lot of nuances to comparing numbers and it’s a lot more than just putting numbers next to each other.
No, Sosari definitely debunked the part about DFA that I think that person was referring to. Credit where credit is due. They’re also at least polite about it and I don’t think that qualifies as trolling even if they’re wrong like I was (edit: not saying they are wrong, just in the hypothetical). People were doing the known easier keys for quick 10s.
Imagine being so out of touch you threw a +11 GB in the mix and said “HmMM m+ mUsT bE dEaD gUys!”
Season 1 was doing better up until week 7 which is where the data stopped that I was looking at. It had one really bad week where things tanked hard, but I think that was bursting. Season 2 yep was way worse. Percentages wise s1 tanked harder than tww s1 is week on week.
No idea what happened with season 2. I actually liked that one a whole lot. Season 4 I blame on it being a Fated Raid season or possibly the feeling that the expansion was just over. Season 4 was another favorite of mine mostly because those seasons are always where classes feel the best to play to me due to the extra secondaries. I find the game vastly more enjoyable with 40%+ haste than I do with 25% or less.
