There’s so much irony to this statement.
So we need systems in place to prevent things from being reserved? sounds pretty petty.
Probably, because you are part of the reserve mentality.
Buddy, you sure it isn’t you who just wants to argue?
I was replying to someone else’s post, you inserted yourself over RDF…
its a forum.
But if if replying to multiple people and actually defending your stance is too difficult, I’m sorry to have bothered you.

yeah, this is the my first character and the one i post on in forums… should i be swapping to alts to have a convo with you?
I just wait and if anyone rolls need, I also need. Most PUGs just need, but if I’m in a guild group everyone greeds.
Frozen Orb is an all need item.
If you really badly need them you can kindly ask your party to greed it or pass it for you and they have the option to accept or reject your request.
Many ways to look at it;
The common way to approach is let everyone greed. Not everyone gets an upgrade from the run so it’s nice to have at least something to win to keep it fair.
If you’re joining a group and theres no loot rules established, you should play fair and just greed with everyone else. Everyone has professions.
You can also just start your own group, establish loot rules and let others decide if they’re willing to join the group under your terms.
Someone asked today in a heroic if they could need on the orb, we all said no let’s all greed. They ended up winning the greed roll anyways.
Just play fair, if people don’t want to abide by your loot rules they don’t have to join the group. Hence why so many loot options are in place.
In my experience, need is used for things that are an upgrade for your character. You dont need an orb to imporve your character, you want it for money. Your role in the instance does not matter. Orbs are purely for crafting and selling. Its very rude to need on them without saying anything beforehand. You should tell groups ahead of time that you are hard reserving the orb, and allow them to choose to join despite that.
If anyone hard res’d orbs I’ll just need on them anyway.
As long as the healer gets to roll and the whole party agrees. Im fine with it. But if you you are just like, yoink, then yes it’s wrong.
If you form a group free to demand whatever you want to reserve. I hoover up all the unwanted blues/epics on my prot pally for DE. Long as you state this in advance members of your group can drop and look for another if they want to or accept your terms.
Doing without stating so ahead of time however I would not be in favor off. Your mileage is likely to be greater in either the tank or heal roles, and with better gear, but its no different from people that charge for tanking or healing services.
Your service is worth whatever it’s worth on your server.
yeah i mean 99% of the time, if the tank or healer wants something, I’m perfectly fine with it.
Um, with the best possible gear that a tank could have atm, that still wont give you repair costs anywhere near the orb value.
everyone at least on my server / faction rolls need so we all just need. i dunno, i don’t even think about it.
I always NEED roll on thing like orbs. Most of the time the groups I have been in the NEED roll also, but once in awhile you get a couple in the group that will GREED roll then get upset that others NEEDED.
Everyone should NEED on things like orbs in my opinion, unless you specify up front before you run the dungeon with the group that everyone is to do otherwise.
Needing on an ORB to sell it is like needing on someone else’s loot because you can vendor it…
