Healing, tanking and just coming with. Can’t do it solo…
Low key a Pally Tank + Druid Tank and a Prot Warr where they share aggro and do off heals can easily 3 man most dungeons.

Yes, and you get a bag for that. Rolling need on the orb without asking first is an AH move. if you were on the AITA reddit, you would be judged. 
most dungeons i do greed it. maybe its server culture but generally we only need if the person actually needs it and its not a shared resource anyone can use
The bag doesn’t cover the cost of repairs.

Everyone has repairs. Not everyone gets a box.
Yeah but my repairs as tank is higher + the box doesn’t give me enough to repair.

If youre even a half decent tank you arent dying enough for it to matter
I can be the greatest tank in the world and still die with a bad group, if anything a single wipe entitles me to an orb.

Good tanks tend to not die. So if you find yourself dying enough that you think you deserve special treatment its probably a you problem. Id avoid the League of Legends mentality of “im amazing, everyone else just sucks”.
It can, how much repairing does an awesome tank like you really need. Don’t tell me you’re routinely wiping the group?
EDIT: Not to mention the trash mob gold drops cover most bills. I haven’t needed a single orb as a tank and my gold just keeps climbing
Most of the time your repair bill is less than 10 gold if it is higher than ghat you are not repairing enough before you are fully breaking your gear or your not a very good tank.
I don’t agree. The greatest tanks in the world can solo a lot of heroic content right now and threat isn’t a problem for them, so even with a terrible group (unless they’re running ahead and pulling the entire dungeon) you should be successful

I am one of the top tanks on Grobb, if I do a LFG pug it’s out of the goodness of my heart as a sort of public service. My gear costs more than most people in Heroics due to it being on the higher end, so yes 1 wipe would mean the Orb would cover the costs.
