people die in the fire, people lose world buffs, people have to leave early, people let other players on the bench sub in, people swap to their healing gear instead of dpsing, people swing Nightfall and wear 8/8 tier 1 for max support…

No my point was it’s a little weird to be reliant on having BIS gear that comes from zones that aren’t even scheduled for release yet.

You heard it here first, everybody. You’re gonna see Paladins decked out in an an assortment of gear that is supposed to belong to other classes so they can continue to deal subpar DPS. It’s a whole new frontier.
I get that. I think it’s still going to be a struggle to not only get that gear for a Paladin but to get into a Raid early on when you’d be better of on a Rogue if you want to melee.

the dps is there my friend - and the gear is quite literally farmable each and everyday in order to assemble the entire bis set at the start

Look, there’s no LFR in Classic. To raid, your guild needs to work together as a team to progress.
If one player is saying “I wanna play my fun spec in raids”, it’s showing a tremendous disregard for the time and effort of his guildmates, many of whom are re-speccing into raid specs.
It’s the definition of someone whose selfishness is toxic to a guild and will generally not last long in any guild attempting to progress in raiding.
No one wants to carry you just because you think you are entitled to special treatment.
Many epics pieces of cloth from multiple different raids. Every single one of those BIS links you gave includes at least one piece of cloth. If you think any guild is gonna give you The Hungering Cold, you’re high on something.
