Those that post and believe it’s better or enjoy it aren’t the issue. They don’t come here specifically to laugh and point fingers. You seem to not understand the difference.
Do you even read posts before charging in to pick a fight?
Try comprehending what’s being said before you make nonsensical replies. Thanks.
Editing to quote this for emphasis.
this dudes responses to stuff. i don’t take the forums seriously and mostly just lol or try to “there is someone wrong on the internet” level own them.
but i am so angry right now. like seeing red level about to get myself perma’d and not get a single kek about it raging.
keep fighting the good fight. i’m leaving this thread.
Hopefully it’s nice outside where you are and you can relax for a few moments. We luv ya.
So someone likes classic more. And they make an argument supporting that.
Why is that a problem?
Why is that bad behavior?
For that to be a problem it takes two to tango.
I feel like you really misunderstood what they are trying to say. They aren’t saying that’s a problem.
Once again… those aren’t the people that are the issue. You need to understand the difference between someone having an opinion and someone coming here specifically to troll.
Well they seem fairly convinced that it’s bad behavior and something needs to be done about it.
How do you know their intent?
And again, why does that matter to you?
So you find someone gloating over the success of TBC offensive.
I find people misusing the report function to silence opinions they don’t like offensive.
Literally already posted the difference. Explained several times there’s a difference. Others have explained several times. It’s not rocket science to tell the difference. Now you’re just being ridiculous. Stop acting oblivious.
Opinions are great. Trolling is not. Move on.
No, man. They are saying some people are here just to troll others, and use the classic avatar to try and rile people up. They are not saying you can’t talk about classic or enjoy it, or think it’s better than retail.
Keep in mind the first post you quoted started with this.
And continues on just wanting people to not be obnoxious about things.
I’ll give an example. Poster A really likes classic. They think it’s much closer to the RPG roots the game came from and that the overall experience is more enjoyable as a result. That’s an opinion I feel you could agree or disagree with and that’s totally cool.
Person B also likes classic. But person B makes posts that says things like “LOL retail is for losers, classic is where it’s at” (keeping it pretty tame here lol). This person likely legitimately enjoys classic more and there’s nothing wrong with that. Putting others down to try and make it appear better is obnoxious and isn’t a great way to express things in a manner that results in meaningful discussion rather than just name calling.
This of course can go both ways. A retail player can do the exact same thing. The point they were trying to make was that people who are intentionally being obnoxious are annoying, and it’s reasonable to want to ignore them if they aren’t going to provide anything that might be conducive to a meaningful discussion.
So the problem is the avatar?
Classic forums can be the same way. I’d post there and get an “attack the messenger not the message” response for being on retail avatar.
Eh, I think it’s more so the message behind it. But trolls will use any tool at their disposal to try and rile others up, which of course can include the avatar. Per the topic of OP wanting to ignore someone who apparently started using a classic avatar to keep messing with them.
You have more patience than I do. Bless your heart.
And bored after your simple raid mechanics are beat in a week
Then the pendulum swings the other way when retail 9.1 releases.
Then Blizzard announces the classic Isle of Quel’Danas zone with Magisters’ Terrace and the Sunwell Plateau raid.
Then retail 9.2.
Then the classic Zul’Aman raid.
Then…well, you get the picture. It’s almost like they have an alternating release schedule for some reason…
You can ignore anyone you want. There is an option in the “preferences”, “users” section to add people to an auto ignore list.
Usually I can ignore pretty well or not care, but yeah, it happens.
I did it because I was being trolled into every post I made and really cutting remarks were made on purpose for over two months.
Tried ignoring, but even that gives you that kick in the gut feeling. Ignore helped my piece of mind. Nothing wrong with admitting or saying that.
Be aware though even when you hit ignore you’ll still see “view one hidden reply” or their comments quoted. But, man it does make a difference.
Because it is incredibly prolific on this forums? There is one on this very thread
As was said in the post you originally responded too, there is a very large and obvious prevailing of posters saying like the above about how retail is dieing because it sucks and classic is better and otherwise nothing productive other than to belittle retail.
So as the post you have started this ‘defend classic crusade’ on was just saying, that people need to just live and let live, let people enjoy what they want, and rightly explaining that is why some people have issues with some classic posters because they say nothing except to belittle retail because of how classic is ‘better’.
u cant call any thing simple ur dh
