Is it just me or was Gilneas Reclamation SEVERELY disappointing?

So as the title probably gives away, the new Reclamation of Gilneas storyline that god added with the new patch feels exceptionally underwhelming. Idk what I truly expected, but I certainly expected a bit more effort than this.

I mean for years now there’s been a lot of talk and excitement within the WoW community waiting for something to happen with Gilneas and this is all we get? Just 10 minutes of “kill a few NPCs here and right here” and boom Gilneas reclaimed?? That’s really it? No big grand battle or ANYTHING similar at all the epic Battle for Gilneas in the Worgen starting zone quests?

Idk this whole questline really felt like a severe disappointment to me, anyone feel the same way?

I agree. I finished and thought, oh, we have a NEW city. It’s empty. No reason to go there that I can see. Did I miss the point?

I already made this post

I wouldn’t know, it’s lagging so badly I can’t even do it

I will let you know when I’m able to do any quests.

On Moon Guard it is literally impossible to tag mobs rn, and the server is lagging and crashing.

  • Gilneas heritage questline has us being told the worgen “curse” is a bad thing

  • The heritage armor is ugly

  • Still no optional tails cries

  • We work with the undead to retake gilneas… and they help by shooting plague canisters at gilneas…? :dracthyr_lulmao: :dracthyr_lulmao: :dracthyr_lulmao:

  • We get a new transmog, and a suprise to no one, it’s ugly again, when there’s photos of a darker recolored version of the heritage armor people would’ve loved

  • We get a…fox mount? Gilneans are all about horses, where did a fox mount come from? Thanks I guess.

  • Still no upright option like the orcs have, my hunched over back hurts cries

Edit: Also no greyguard title

Big patch and the only part I was excited for and people have finished the entire questline in under an hour :frowning: feeling a little sad over this

Blizzard: “Here’s your 10 minutes of ‘content,’ now get back to farming Mythic+!”

I hate that this is still considered a curse. In Cata it made sense, but over time it should be seen as a gift/blessing. Gilneas is special, but no, the exact opposite is happening. What the hell do the developers have against the Worgen?

As I said, what does Blizzard have against the Worgen?
The set looks like it was thrown in the shredder and the pieces were all stuck together, and it’s a human set or a clown set again…

Yes it’s boring but the thing is is likely the start of something on going

No idea how it is.

Every bit of new content is a lag fest, 55ms home/world and 15 seconds for loot to actually work.

Trying to find anything because piles of dragons on top of quest givers is pointless also, etc.

What’s even worse is that almost nothing has changed outside of the destruction being gone. Nothing to do, no reason to stay after. Not even more NPCs to populate this “rebuilding effort”

How are you gonna partially advertise your patch with this questline, for this to seriously be all there is?

I swear if all worgen players get is a hearthstone by the end of this I am going to be very ticked. How come all the other big race questlines end with racial specific transmogs and weapons like totems and racial themed transmog from vendors not to mention tabards and titles and sometimes even customization options. We just get a stone? There should be portals here otherwise what’s the point.

Read “Before the Storm” and you might get an idea. The idea that it is a “gift” is … exceedingly silly. Yes, Worgens are gifted with great strength, dexterty, and a near unbridled degree of ferocity and fury.

There’s two things that makes a worgen able to control themselves; extremely potent alchemical potions (think tranquilizers that would work on a dragon) and self-control. The latter being entirely possible to overpower if you make a worgen angry enough.

Gilneans are the people, Worgens are feral. The combination of the two is what we have access to as playable characters, not one or the other - but the combination. Because Tess is a Gilnean and not a Worgen, and all of the mindless worgens running around on pure instinct and ferocity … that’s a worgen.

Not to mention hide everydetail of it to pretend like it’s gonna have some unique lore relevance or rewards.
