Having played classic throughout its release i have 0 intrest in goong back through it again yet. Cata feels like a more complete version of wow vs vanilla

Healthy auction house, healthy amount of people in the world, healthy amount of people doing dungeons. So how exactly is this a failure?
yeah, created a new character, starting zone = empty. A few levels later went to SW and there were like 10 players around.
Now people will tell me literally everyone is out there leveling somewhere, and all the dads also joined day 1 and are already in duskwood or smth. Even IF there are people somewhere its still a lame experience, any pirate serverwill have a better vanilla experience than this
If they added Summoning stones and auto group finder, that would be greeeeat …
It is just you. The pve realm at least on the horde side is hoppin. There were over 255 tigerseye on the auctionhouse. I know this, cause I bought almost all of them

The new F R E S H smell is lures players into these restarts. Everyone is on the same equal footing but they will return to Era once this is over. Players will get to max and sit and chill until The Burning Crusade in 1 year. Yes, it is a fail because no one wanted this, players wanted The Burning Crusade that is now locked behind yet ANOTHER go around Classic.
Give it a month and watch the flock return to Era LMAO.

Im having fun bouncing between cata and anniversary. Its not about end game for me, its just nostalgia. Maybe for those people who didn’t get to experience vanilla from the beginning might be frustrated. Maybe thats the issue?

Does MC close in 3 weeks? Are we not able to do it after that point? Otherwise I don’t know why you’d say we only have 3 weeks to get there. Like we will miss out on it if we aren’t raid ready in 3 weeks

Yes all the vanilla private servers right now are absolutely thriving. I think they are dragging all the players off the fresh realms and that’s why apparently everyone quit after 3 days? Not to mention all the private servers satisfy every player, compared to blizzard servers they are able to somehow please each person’s preferred ruleset and/or version of vanilla!
I’ve seen 150k quoted for NA servers, if that’s correct I’d say your math needs work.

I got some weekend time in.
Last night I had scout stuff to do with my troop. Non game night.
tonight is pack and prep for the trip we fly to tomorrow. No plans on taking the laptop. And if I did bring it, it be to post process pictures.
Next week…ain’t much better. I had real casual plans for this. IRL was saying I had no choice.
because classic 2019 had dozens of servers to pick from all with their own communities and now you’re stuck with three servers which means if the community on it sucks you have few options. I switched servers three times in 2019-2020.
Imagine that, relaunching the exact something of a game that we just played 5 years ago. not being as popular as something we haven’t played in about 15 years.
With 3 other versions people can still be playing.
I didn’t quit cata. I still swing by and say hi there. Others do this too I am sure. I am not throwing out all those 85’s lol. Nor my grobb leveler. Era got 2 nights of late…I can make night 3 cata night. Its not a race for me.
Same deal for retail, and even SoD players I’d imagine.
