Is it just me or does wow classic re-release seem like a failure?

guild invites addons arnt tho and when i do scans its literally at least a thousand people at the start of each bracket so like 1000 lvl 10-11’s 1000 lvl 20-21s ect. meaning there are literally tens of thousands of players online on each realm. pretty nutty.

There were definitely enough people at the Duskwood graveyard earlier today to be an annoying competition for ghoul fangs

Yeah it is. Dude, I have been making BANK on the players in the dwarf starting areas around IF who don’t have skinning and even at ridiculous hours (I’m a third shift worker right now) it’s still stupid busy.

@ OP do you even play on the servers? they popped off like nothing else. Yesterday it took me 45 minutes to kill all the pillagers and looters for a quest because theres so many people in westfall.

They never replied to anyone’s post if we could move to classic era before TBC progresses. I personally don’t want to roll on fresh and waste a whole year to be forced to participate in an expansion I don’t want to do. (TBC)

It would’ve been nice, but its too late now…some guys are already 30-40+. Not going to bother.

Better communication next time, blizzard…PoE 2 EA is coming out soon and I’ll be over there anyway.

LOL NO.

I would assume it’ll be like era where you can stay in classic or choose to move specific characters to TBC

Also, so what if some people are 30-40 now? What does that have to do with you? It’s not like anyone will be raiding ahead of you, it’s been 3 days. Raids don’t even open until December 12th. The people who are in their 30s and 40s have zero impact on anything except for if you were trying for server first to 60.

it’s the same issues the 2019 launch had (server sizes are too big, layering is stupid) with the added bonus of having like two days of notice to build hype.

I’ve noticed that almost nobody talks at all even in groups on the fresh servers and it feels like the community aspect is completely gone like retail.

There’s also frankly too many types of WoW to play at this point and it’s spreading people too thin. Retail/Classic Era/Hardcore/20th Anv/Classic Cata is way too many different versions of the game.

I really don’t understand the fomo obsession, you know this is just a self imposed issue right?

This is just silly, all versions have a playable population, why obsess over numbers?

For those of us who are not pro touch typists…I kill mobs or I type.

typing doesn’t kill mobs.

If one is in silverpine…one also tends to not be talkative with son of arugal running around. The dude comes out of nowhere. Run away, pick up oh crap mob agro from that, run away some more.

Why would it?

There have been classic release iterations every year.

People should’ve held back their expectations. They thought that a refresh would bring back those who left, but most of the ones long gone already had their fill of nostalgia the first time. The only people who went to fresh were the existing player base and maybe a few returning but nothing like the original re-release.

Classic plus has been out for a grand total of 4 days. Not to mention they are just before the largest travel event this side of the globe.

A big factor is a lot of people got it out of their system in 2019, the population took a hard dip after Molten Core, anyone expecting the same level of hype as 2019 was just over thinking things,

That being said the populations once settled will give us some solid realms, I’m glad blizzard went 1 of each type route with layers this time around, it means we won’t end up with a bunch of these dead realms.

Doom and gloom forever. Some of you are special. Game is totally dead i was on this server that ONLY had 10 different layers rolling on it… Didnt eben bother with the pve server that’s popping off either lol. You guys need better hobbies

I didn’t even know the new servers were happening until the day they opened. Somehow.

I think this is like the 5th re-release of Classic. I think you would be incorrect in assuming that the number of players would increase over time.

definitely feels more dead than SoM was, SoD, wrath fresh servers, etc. And its only been out for a couple days. The HC scene looks fun to engage with so ill probably just stick to that.

When I played original classic release it was nothing like it is now. Feels like most people are only playing on the pve/pvp realm because they missed out years ago and have this weird fomo about it. Every single one of my bnet friends, guild friends etc are just completely skipping this fresh (besides hc) because tbc isnt even something to look forward to because anybody who played it in 2020 remembers how much of a grinding time sink that entire expac was.

If you guys want progressive servers with healthy but smaller pops and better dev - player relations id just stick to pservers. WM onyxia and icecrown average like 10k players for example which is how much players the big classic realms have anyways also they are totally free
