It seems like this re-release of classic doesn’t have the same hype that the original classic did and a small fraction of the playerbase. I was on the one PvP server today and there were only 10 layers. That is insane. Back when classic came out it had multiple servers with that many layers. Just seems like Blizzard should have done something different, because this isn’t it. what does everyone else think?

I agree, definitely feels like Fresh servers are finished before they took off. There’s a couple of reasons for the failure, but the biggest one is we’re all tired of the monotonous leveling grind. And only 3 weeks to get to MC? That is simply unrealistic for most adults. Adding a paid boost is the only way to get hype going, otherwise these servers will probably just get merged with era eventually.

To think fresh servers would have the same hype as initial Classic launch is just plain foolish thinking. Should they have done something else? Sure.
Don’t think it’s a failure at all though. Theres thousands of people playing the game at any given time of the day.

But yes, of course with 5 years of classic content continually it won’t be the same hype as the first step by blizz into a classic version of wow.

And why do you need to be raiding MC week 1? It’s so funny, that people complain they can’t play the game as much but expect to keep up with those that play non stop. I barely get to play, but I accept that fact. Because you know, it’s a fairly simple concept.

The servers are great i am having a blast as are alot of other fellow adventures not everything requires 3 million players a healthy server of 5-6k is great.
Nothing will ever match the hype of the 2019 classic, unless maybe the game closes down for 10 years and is brought back.

The pop is very healthy what do you mean? Im still fighting for tags with all these layers and find dungeon groups almost insta.

Nope. Because the content cycle is rushed. BWL will be out very soon, and if you haven’t been farming MC since week 1, the gate keeping classic community will not bring you to BWL. Most people understand this which is why not many people bothered to play fresh.

This just isn’t true, unless you’re trying to push progression / parsing in a serious guild. In which case if you don’t have time to level, you most definitely won’t have time to farm all buffs and consumes and raid.
